This wikiHow teaches you how to open and view other people's WhatsApp accounts on a computer. Monitoring someone's chats without permission is a violation of privacy so before you take any steps to access someone's WhatsApp account, make sure you have the permission of the user in question.
Step
Step 1. Open WhatsApp via your friend's phone
This application is marked with a green icon with a white handset logo.
If your friend isn't using a WhatsApp account yet, ask him or her to set it up before you move on to the next step
Step 2. Tap Settings (iPhone) or (Android)
The “Settings” option on the iPhone appears in the lower right corner of the screen, while the “⋮” option on Android devices appears in the upper right corner of the screen.
If WhatsApp displays a chat window, first tap the "Back" button in the upper-left corner of the screen
Step 3. Touch WhatsApp Web/Desktop
It's at the top of the page (iPhone) or at the top of the drop-down menu (Android). On Android, you need to select “WhatsApp Web”.
Step 4. Visit the WhatsApp Web site via computer
You can see a black and white box in the middle of the page. The box is a QR code that you need to scan using your phone's camera.
Step 5. Point your friend's phone camera at the QR code
The phone screen should be facing towards you, while the camera should be facing the QR code displayed on the computer screen.
If you've previously scanned a QR code with WhatsApp, you'll first need to select “Scan QR Code” at the bottom of the page so the camera can scan the code
Step 6. Wait for the code to finish scanning
If the camera doesn't recognize the code right away, try holding your friend's phone closer to the screen. Once the code is scanned, the WhatsApp Web application will open. This program allows you to view your friends' WhatsApp messages on your computer.
