The Sims lets you create different types of Sims. Unfortunately, the Sim's personality may not be what you'd expect. He may be a cheating husband and often put dirty dishes on the floor. You can trap it indoors without food. However, hasn't this been done by many players around the world? Get rid of annoying Sims from the house using the options available in the game or cheat codes.
Step
Method 1 of 3: For The Sims 4
Step 1. Open the Manage World screen
Click the menu button at the top right of the screen. Select the Manage World option.
After opening the Manage World screen, an instruction will ask you whether you want to save game data (Save Game) or not. It's a good idea to save the game's data (save file) in case you accidentally delete the wrong Sim, or change your mind. By saving game data, you can restore deleted Sims
Step 2. Select the Household (a group of Sims living in the same place) that you want to edit
Find the house where the Sim you want to remove lives. Click on the house to open the " Household Management " option.
Step 3. Open the "Manage Household" screen
Click the "More Options" button (icon…). After that, click the "Manage Household" option (the icon in the form of two silhouettes of heads). On the "Manage Household" screen you can delete the Sim permanently or move it to another Household. Both options are described below.
Step 4. Delete Sim permanently
If you want to expel a Sim, use the "Create a Sim" menu to delete it:
- Click the pencil-shaped icon to open the "Create a Sim" menu in the selected Household.
- Move the cursor to the icon of the Sim you want to delete at the bottom left of the screen. Click the red "X" button that appears on the screen.
Step 5. Remove Sim from Household
If you want to remove a Sim from Household, but don't want to delete it permanently, follow these instructions:
- On the "Manage Household" screen, click the two arrow-shaped icon to open the "Sim Transfer" screen. After opening the screen, you will see the Sim in the Household on the left of the screen and an empty column on the right of the screen.
- Click the "Create New Household" button. It's at the top right of the screen.
- Click the Sim you want to move to select it. After selecting it, the Sim will be highlighted and the color will turn green.
- Click the right-pointing arrow icon between the two screen columns to move the Sim to a new Household.
Method 2 of 3: For The Sims 3
Step 1. Back up your game save data (recommended)
In The Sims 3 you have to use cheat codes to remove Sims. Using cheat codes has the opportunity to give rise to bugs (errors that appear in the system or computer program) and if unlucky, these bugs can permanently damage the game's saved data. Before using cheats, follow these instructions to back up your game save data:
- Find the Documents or My Documents directory (folder) → Electronic arts → The Sims 3 → Saves.
- Make a copy of the "Saves" directory by right-clicking the directory and selecting the "Copy" option. Apart from using this method, you can also make a copy of a directory by selecting the desired directory and pressing command + C key to copy it.
- Paste (paste) the copy to the Desktop or into another directory by right-clicking the screen and selecting the "Paste" option. Apart from using this method, you can also select the desired directory and press command + V key to paste the copy.
Step 2. Enable Testing Cheats. Open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C. When the cheat console is open, type TestingCheatsEnabled true in the cheat console column and press the Enter key.
If you are using Windows Vista, you may have to press the Windows key as well to open the cheat console
Step 3. Delete Sim permanently
Hold down the Shift key and click the Sim you want to delete. Select the Object option and click the Delete option. The Sim should be permanently lost.
Step 4. Reset Sim
If your Sim gets a bug (stuck in a certain location or gets stuck on the floor), you can use a different command to reset the Sim. Reopen the cheat console and type resetSim followed by a space and Sim's full name. For example, if a Sim named Gilang Nugraha is stuck in the bathroom, type "resetSim Gilang Nugraha". After that, press the Enter key.
This will cancel and delete all Wish and Moodlet owned by the Sim
Step 5. Try using another reset method
If the reset command does not work, use the following method:
- Type moveObjects on in the cheat console.
- Open the "Buy Mode" menu and take a Sim to delete it.
- Open the Options menu (the … button at the bottom left of the screen) and select the Edit Town option.
- Click the two houses icon. The icon will open the "Change Active Household" option.
- Change to another Household. Play for a few minutes. After that, replay the Household Sim that was hit by the bug. The "removed" Sim should appear on the sidewalk.
Step 6. Disable Testing Cheats
Open the cheat console and write TestingCheatsEnabled false. This prevents you from popping bugs or accidentally deleting stuff.
Method 3 of 3: For The Sims FreePlay
Step 1. Tap the Sim you want to delete
Since the "Witches & Wizards" upgrade, you can delete a Sim mid-game.
If you have an older version of the game (before October 2014), the button to delete a Sim takes the form of a menu option in the "Create a Sim" menu
Step 2. Tap the red circle button
Find the red circle button crossed out by the white line to the right of the Sim's photo. Tap the button to delete the Sim.
Step 3. Provide confirmation
In the pop up menu (small window containing certain information), confirm that you want the Sim to "move out of town". This will remove the Sim from the game.
