After the tweets are deleted, you can cancel the service's access to your Twitter account for security reasons.

Method 1 of 4: Using TwitWipe
Step 1. Visit
TwitWipe is a free service that allows you to delete all your tweets at once.
TwitWipe can only delete the last 3,200 tweets sent. If you have more than 3,200 tweets on your account, you will need to manually delete the remaining tweets
Step 2. Click the Get Started button
Step 3. Solve the displayed SolveMedia puzzle
Before you can use the service, you need to solve the security puzzle that appears in the lower right corner of the page.
- Follow the clues on the puzzle to get the code.
- Type the code in the text field provided.
- Click the Proceed button.
Step 4. Click the Authorize app button
If you are not logged into your Twitter account, you can log in to your account via this page.
Step 5. Press the Yes button to confirm
Keep in mind that the confirmation is permanent. It's a red button and is on the left side of the page, just below your account username.
- The deletion process can take anywhere from a few minutes, hours, to days, depending on the number of tweets you want to delete. A green bar is displayed indicating the progress of the deletion.
- When TwitWipe finishes deleting the tweet, you may see the message “Looks like you're all done!”” on the screen.
Step 6. Click the Sign Out button
After that, your Twitter account will be removed from TwitWipe.
Step 7. Visit
On that page, you can see a list that includes all the apps that have access to your account.
Step 8. Click the Revoke Access button next to TwitWipe
After that, the connection or access between TwitWipe and your Twitter account will be deleted.
Method 2 of 4: Using TweetDelete
Step 1. Visit
TweetDelete is a free service that allows you to delete all the tweets on your Twitter account.
Due to limitations imposed by Twitter, TweetDelete can only delete the last 3,200 tweets you uploaded
Step 2. Check the checkbox provided to agree to the terms of use of the service
If you want to read the terms of use before agreeing to them, click the TweetDelete terms button.
Step 3. Click the Sign in with Twitter button
If you're not logged into your Twitter account, you'll be asked to sign in first
Step 4. Click the Authorize app button
Step 5. Specify the deletion period from the displayed drop-down menu
In this menu, you can choose which tweets you want to delete based on the date they were uploaded. You can choose from one week to one year.
Step 6. Check the box next to the "Delete all my existing tweets" option
Step 7. Uncheck the “Post to my feed” option
Otherwise, TweetDelete will send a tweet through your account indicating that you have used the service.
If you don't want to follow TweetDelete on Twitter, uncheck the “Follow (at)Tweet_Delete for future updates” option
Step 8. Click the Activate TweetDelete button
After that, TweetDelete will delete all tweets uploaded within the specified time period.
Step 9. Visit
On that page, you can see a list that includes all the apps that have access to your account.
Step 10. Click the Revoke Access button next to TweetDelete
After that, the connection or access between TweetDelete and your Twitter account will be deleted.
Method 3 of 4: Using a Cardigan
Step 1. Visit
Cardigan is an open source service for deleting every tweet on your Twitter account and is free to use.
Like any other tweet deletion app, Cardigan can only delete the last 3,200 tweets uploaded. However, you can grant Cardigan access to delete any remaining tweets
Step 2. Click the Browse Tweets button
Step 3. Click the Authorize app button
If you're not logged into Twitter, you'll be asked to sign in first.
Once you click the button or sign in, Cardigan will start fetching your tweets. This process can take a few minutes, depending on how many tweets have been uploaded
Step 4. Click the Delete All button
It's at the top of the page. Keep in mind that deleting a tweet is permanent.
Step 5. Click the Delete button to confirm the selection
While Cardigan will redirect your browser to its main page, your tweets are actually being deleted in the background. Deletion can take anywhere from a few minutes to hours, depending on the number of tweets you want to delete.
Step 6. Visit
Once your tweets have been deleted, it's a good idea to remove Cardigan's access to Twitter account. You can find Cardigan in the list of apps with active access displayed.
Step 7. Click the Revoke Access button next to Cardigan
Now, Cardigan is no longer connected to your Twitter account.
Method 4 of 4: Using Delete All Tweets
Step 1. Visit
You can use this free service to delete all the tweets in your account. As with other services, Delete All Tweets can only access the last 3,200 tweets uploaded by your account.
- Use this service only if you really want to delete all tweets. The deletion process takes place as soon as you authorize the app, and you cannot stop the process.
- This service automatically sends a tweet from your account promoting the service. Keep reading this method to learn how to delete a tweet using Delete All Tweets.
Step 2. Click the Sign in with Twitter button
Step 3. Click the Authorize app button
Once you click the button, the tweets will start to be deleted in the background.
If you are not logged into your Twitter account, you will be taken to the login page. On that page, log into your Twitter account
Step 4. Watch the progress of the deletion process running
In the box labeled “Welcome [your Twitter username]!”, you can view the counter information of deleted tweets (marked with the label “tweets deleted so far”). The number will continue to grow as the service continues to run.
- The deletion process can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the number of tweets you want to delete.
- Before continuing, wait for all the tweets to be deleted.
Step 5. Visit
On that page, you can see a list that includes all the apps that have access to your account.
Step 6. Click the Revoke Access button which is next to DeleteAllTweets
After that, the connection or access between DeleteAllTweets and your Twitter account will be deleted.
Step 7. Click the Home button
It's in the top-left corner of the page.
Step 8. Click the … button at the bottom of the “DeleteAllTweets.com” tweet
After that, the tweet menu will be displayed.
Step 9. Click the Delete tweet button
Step 10. Click the Delete button to confirm the selection
Now, those auto-sent tweets will be deleted.
Step 11. Click on your account profile photo
It's in the top-right corner of the page.
Step 12. Click the Settings button
Step 13. Visit
After the tweets have finished deleting, also cancel Delete All Tweets access to your Twitter account. On that page, you can see a list that includes all the apps that have access to your account.
Step 14. Click the Revoke Access button which is next to DeleteAllTweets
Now, the service is no longer linked to your Twitter account.
Tips
- When authorizing an app, make sure you check the permissions requested by the app. Some apps may still delete tweets every week or month.
- Once a tweet is deleted, it cannot be recovered. It's a good idea to download the tweet archive before deleting any tweets.
- You can also delete tweets manually.
