Since you rarely call or text yourself, you may forget the cell phone number you're currently using, especially if you use a postpaid service and don't need to top-up by entering a number. However, remembering a cell phone number is just as important as remembering a name. By remembering cell phone numbers, you can share contact information with other people even without a business card. If you don't know or forget your mobile number, you can find it via your SIM card.
If you know your cell phone number, but don't know the ICCID number, read other guides on the internet to find out the ICCID number. This number is also generally printed directly on the SIM card.
Step
Method 1 of 7: Ask the Operator
Step 1. Bring the SIM card to the store that sells it
If you have an old SIM card and don't have a phone to test it on, take it to the carrier gallery. Generally, the operator staff can find out the card number.
Step 2. Contact the operator
If you have a cell phone, but don't want to use it to activate the SIM card in question, look for the customer service number on the SIM card. Most SIM cards have a serial number printed on the body of the card. Give this number to the person who answers your call, and ask them to give you your cell phone number.
Step 3. Get to know the new SIM card
Be aware that many carriers don't "stick" the number to the SIM card until it's activated. When you buy a new SIM card, it may not have a number. The number will be "sticked" to the SIM card once you insert it into your phone and activate it.
Method 2 of 7: Using SIM Card in Any Phone
Step 1. Use the operator assistance code
Some carriers have an SMS code or format that you can use to display a cell phone number.
- If you are a Telkomsel user (as and sympathy cards), dial *808#.
- If you are an Indosat user (IM3 and Mentari), dial *777*8#.
- If you are an Axis user, dial *2#.
- If you are a Three (3) user, dial *998#.
- If you are a T-Mobile user, press #NUM# (#686#).
- Other carriers may offer this feature. Try searching the internet for your carrier code. As of March 2017, this service is not available for AT&T and Verizon.
Step 2. Contact your carrier
Some SIM cards do not display the mobile number in the settings. If your SIM card does not display the number, you may need to contact your operator to ask for the number.
If you call a carrier with a questionable SIM card, they may be able to detect the phone number automatically. If not, remove the SIM card so you can read the card number aloud
Step 3. Send SMS or call another phone number with a "mysterious" SIM card
Phones with caller identification feature will detect your SIM card number, unless you enable the option to hide phone number.
Method 3 of 7: iPhone
Using Settings
Step 1. Open settings
Tap the cog icon from Springboard to open iPhone settings.
Step 2. Tap "Phone" from the list of options in the Settings menu
Step 3. Find the "My Number" option
In this option, the number of the SIM card inserted into the iPhone will appear.
Using Contact List
Step 1. Open the contact list
Tap the green phone icon in the iPhone app dock at the bottom of the screen (or anywhere on Springboard) to display a list of contacts stored on the phone.
Step 2. Swipe to the top of the contact list
Place your finger over the first contact, then swipe down on the screen. The phone's contact information will appear, including the number of the currently installed SIM card.
Using iTunes
Step 1. Open iTunes on the computer
You can try this step on a Mac or Windows computer.
Warning: If you've never connected your iPhone to a computer you'll be using, be careful. Mistakes in following the steps can cause you to lose music on your phone.
Step 2. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable
Every iPhone includes a USB cable in the sales package. Connect one end of the USB cable to iPhone, then connect the other end to the computer.
You can also sync your iPhone wirelessly
Step 3. Go to iTunes Store if prompted
Some users will see a "Sign in to iTunes Store" window after connecting the iPhone. If you see the window, enter the same Apple ID as your iPhone.
Skip this step if the login request window does not appear
Step 4. Click "Cancel" if you are prompted to sync
Some users will see a window asking them to sync and delete the contents of the phone. If you see the window, click "Cancel". Syncing your iPhone to someone else's computer will cause you to lose all the music on your phone.
Skip this step if the sync request window doesn't appear
Step 5. Click the "Devices" button in iTunes
The location of this button varies depending on the version of iTunes you're using:
- iTunes 12: Click the small button with a picture of a phone near the top-left corner of the window.
- iTunes 11: Click the "iPhone" button near the top-right corner of the window. If you don't see the button, click "Library" in the upper-right corner of the window to close the iTunes Store view. If the button is still not there, click "View > Hide Sidebar" from the menu at the top of the window.
- iTunes 10 and below: Find the "Devices" column on the left sidebar of the screen, then select your device's name below it.
Step 6. Find your mobile number
This number appears at the top of the iTunes window, near the iPhone image.
If you don't see the phone number, click the "Summary" button. Usually, this option is in the left bar of the window, or is a tab at the top of the window
Method 4 of 7: Android Device
Step 1. Open settings
Tap the cog icon from the phone's app list to open the Settings app.
Step 2. Tap "About Device" or "About Phone" from the list of options that appear on the screen
You may need to scroll through the screen to find this option.
If you are using an LG G4, tap the "General" tab first, then tap "About Phone"
Step 3. Tap on "Status" or "Phone Identity"
One of these options will take you to the mobile number display screen, depending on the device you are using.
Step 4. Show your mobile number
Scroll to the "Status" screen, then find the "My phone number" entry. The number that appears in this entry is your SIM card number.
If the number does not appear, find and select the "SIM Status" option. In this option, your number will appear
Method 5 of 7: Windows Phone
Step 1. Open the contact list
Tap the "Phone" box on the Windows phone home screen.
Step 2. Go to other options

Step 4. Display your number

Step 5. Try exploring other menu settings

If you are using an LG Optimus Quantum, tap Menu > Settings > Applications > Phone, and find "My Phone Number"
Method 6 of 7: BlackBerry Phone
Step 1. Open more apps
Show more apps by swiping the screen to the left.
Step 2. Open settings

Step 3. Go to Category under About

iPad is not designed for making calls. The SIM card on the iPad is used to download data
Tips
- The above steps can only be followed if you are using a GSM phone or a phone with a SIM card.
- If you're using a CDMA phone or a SIM-less phone, contact your carrier to find out how to get a cell phone number.
