This wikiHow teaches you how to share videos to Steam on a Windows or Mac computer. Before you can share a video, you must first upload it to your YouTube account.

Step 1. Upload the video to your YouTube account
If you don't know how, read this article.
Videos uploaded to YouTube must be set as public videos (“ Public ”) and may be embedded into other websites (“allow embedding”).
Step 2. Open Steam on your Mac or PC
If you are using a computer, the Steam icon is in the “ Applications If you are using a Windows computer, the Steam icon is in the “ All Apps ” in the “Start” menu.
Step 3. Log in to your Steam account
If not, enter your login information and click “ LOGIN ”.
- If you are using Steam Guard, type the code in the space provided and click “ OK " to continue.
- You can close the “Steam News” pop-up window if it appears.
Step 4. Click on your Steam account name
The name is in the bar at the top of the Steam window (to the right of the “Community” section). The “Account Activity” page will load after that.
Step 5. Click Videos
It's in the right column, in the middle.
Step 6. Click the YouTube account link
It's in the top center of the screen (to the left of the “Manage Videos” section).
Step 7. Click Access your YouTube videos
It's a green button in the center of the screen. You will be taken to the Google login page.
Step 8. Enter your Google account email address and click NEXT
Make sure you're using an account that's linked to a YouTube account.
Step 9. Enter Google account password and click NEXT
Step 10. Select an account
If you have multiple accounts, you will be asked to select the desired account. Select the account used to upload the video. You will be redirected back to Steam to see a list of YouTube videos.
Step 11. Select the video you want to share
Click the empty button on the left side of the video preview window to select it. You can select more than one video if you want.
Step 12. Associate the video with the game
In the “2. Associate the video(s) with a game” section, select the appropriate game from the drop-down menu.
If the game doesn't appear, type its name into the “Other / Unlisted” field
Step 13. Click Add video
This green button is below the “3. Add it to your profile” section. The video will be shared to Steam afterwards.
