Liking someone's post on Facebook is a great way to appreciate or compliment them. However, if your News Feed is filled with other people's posts, you should consider unliking old posts, photos and comments that you previously liked. Canceling likes on posts can be done easily using a browser on a computer or the Facebook application on a mobile device.

Method 1 of 2: Unlike Using Computer
Step 1. Sign in to your Facebook account
Go to the website using your preferred browser. Enter your email address (electronic mail or email), or username (username), and password (password) in the fields provided at the top right of the page. After entering your email address and password, press the “Sign in” button to continue.
Step 2. Open your Timeline
Go to your Facebook page by clicking on your name at the top right of the screen. After that, you will be taken to your Facebook Timeline.
Step 3. Open the Activity Log
Click the “View Activity Log” option to open a list of your activities on Facebook.
The "Activity Log" option can be found on your profile next to the "Edit Profile" button at the top right of the screen
Step 4. Select the option “Likes and feedback
” Click the "Likes and Feedback" button on the left side of the screen. Then, a list of posts that you've liked since you created your Facebook account will appear.
Step 5. Select the post you want to un-like
Move the page down and find the post you want to unlike.
On the right side of the screen, you'll see a column with a list of likes organized by month
Step 6. Click the “Unlike” button
You can find this button by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the post.
After you unlike a post, it won't reappear on your Timeline when other people leave a new comment or like it
Method 2 of 2: UnLiking Using Facebook App
Step 1. Open the Facebook app
Tap the Facebook app icon on the home screen or in the apps folder to open it.
If you don't have the Facebook app, you can download it from Google Play (for Android), iTunes App Store (for iOS), or Windows Phone Apps Store. Type "Facebook" into the search field to search for it and select the Facebook app in the search results. After that, tap the "Install" or Install button to download the app. Open the Facebook app once it's finished downloading
Step 2. Log in to your Facebook account via the app
Type in your email address and password in the fields provided and press the “Log in” button.
Step 3. Go to Facebook Settings
Click the three vertical bars (⋮) icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Open the Activity Log
Move the screen down and tap the "Activity Log" option. Tapping on that option will display the activity you did on Facebook.
Step 5. Tap on the “Filters
” You can find this option at the top of the page. Tapping on that option allows you to filter your Activity Log that is displayed in the Facebook app.
Step 6. Select “Likes and Feedback
” Move the screen down and look for the “Likes and Feedback” option. Selecting this option will display a list of posts you have liked on Facebook. You can find this option above the “Comments” option (Comments).
Step 7. Select the post you want to un-like
Move down the screen and find the post you want to unlike. List of shipments sorted by date; Recent posts are placed at the top and older posts are placed at the bottom of the list.
Step 8. Tap the “Unlike button
” Click the drop-down menu box to the right of the post and tap the “Cancel Like” button.
After you unlike a post, it won't reappear on your Timeline when other people leave a new comment or like it
Tips
- Consider installing the Bing toolbar in your browser as it allows you to like and unlike posts.
- Only you can see your Activity Log.
