This wikiHow teaches you how to tell if someone has taken a screenshot of your post on Snapchat.
Step
Step 1. Look for notifications
If you have notifications enabled on Snapchat, a pop up will appear on your locked phone screen with the words " (friend's name) took a screenshot!" when someone takes a screenshot of your post.
If notifications are not enabled, perform the check manually
Step 2. Launch Snapchat
The icon is a white ghost on a yellow background.
If you are not logged into Snapchat, tap Login and type in your username (or email address) and password.
Step 3. Swipe the camera screen to the right
This will open the Chat screen.
Step 4. Look for the icon with two overlapping arrows
The screenshot icon is an arrow to the right that overlaps the arrow to the left, and is to the left of the contact's name. There is also a " Screenshot " followed by the screen capture time (or day) displayed below this icon.
- If your post has been sent, but hasn't been opened, a red or purple arrow facing right will be displayed.
- If your post has been opened, but not captured, an arrow pointing to the right will be displayed.
- The red arrow is for photo posts, while the purple arrow is for video posts.
