This wikiHow teaches you how to delete blank rows in Google Sheets using three methods. You can remove rows by removing them separately using a filter, or an add-on that can remove all empty rows and squares.

Method 1 of 3: Deleting Rows Separately
Step 1. Visit https://sheets.google.com via a web browser
If you're signed in to your Google account, a list of Google Sheets documents linked to your account will appear.
Sign in to your Google account if you haven't already
Step 2. Click the Google Sheets document
Step 3. Right-click the line number
Each row in the document will have a number in the gray column next to it.
Step 4. Click Delete Row
Method 2 of 3: Using Filters
Step 1. Visit https://sheets.google.com via a web browser
If you're signed in to your Google account, a list of Google Sheets documents linked to your account will appear.
Step 2. Click the Google Sheets document
Step 3. Click and drag the cursor to select all document data
Step 4. Click the Data tab
This tab is in the menu bar at the top of the page.
Step 5. Click Filters
Step 6. Click the green triangle icon with three lines in the top left corner of the box
Step 7. Click Sort A → Z
After that, all empty boxes will be moved to the bottom of the document.
Method 3 of 3: Using Add-ons
Step 1. Visit https://sheets.google.com via a web browser
If you're signed in to your Google account, a list of Google Sheets documents linked to your account will appear.
Step 2. Click the Google Sheets document you want to edit
Step 3. Click the Add-ons tab
This tab is in the menu bar at the top of the page.
Step 4. Click Get Add-ons
Step 5. Type Remove Blank Rows into the search bar and press Enter key
Step 6. Click + Free
This button is opposite the text "Remove Blank Rows (and More)". This add-on is indicated by an remover icon.
Step 7. Click Google account
If you have multiple Google accounts saved, you will be asked to select the account to add the add-on to.
Step 8. Click Allow
Step 9. Click the Add-ons tab again
This tab is in the menu bar at the top of the page.
Step 10. Select Remove Blank Rows (and More)
Step 11. Click Delete Blank Rows/Columns
Add-on options will appear in the right column of the page.
Step 12. Click the empty gray box in the upper-left corner of the worksheet
After that, all the columns and rows of the spreadsheet will be selected.
You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+A to select all content
Step 13. Click Delete
