Flash is no longer developed for Linux, and the latest version is only available on Chrome because it's already built-in. In the Chromium browser, you can use it by extracting the Flash plug-in from Chrome. In Firefox, you will need to switch to a different browser if you want to use the latest version of Flash. In the Chrome browser, all you have to do is use Flash, as long as the browser is up to date.

Method 1 of 3: Chromium
Step 1. Launch the Ubuntu Software Center
You can run it from the Ubuntu taskbar.
Step 2. Click the Edit menu and then select Software Sources
Step 3. Click the "Ubuntu Software" tab
Step 4. Check the box "Software restricted by copyright or legal issues (multiverse)"
Then click "Close".
Step 5. Wait for Software Center to update the source
This can take a few minutes.
Step 6. Do a search with the keyword "Pepper Flash Player"
Download this browser add-on.
The package name is "pepperflashplugin-nonfree", but this add-on is actually free
Step 7. Run Terminal
You can run it from the taskbar, or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T
Step 8. Type
sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree then press Enter.
Step 9. Wait for the installation to complete
This could take a while. When the installation is complete, your computer name will reappear. Type exit and press Enter to close the terminal.
Step 10. Restart your browser
Now Flash is installed on Chromium.
Step 11. Periodically check if any updates are available
Flash will not update automatically when installed this way. You will have to manually check for updates from time to time.
- Open Terminal.
- To check for updates, type sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree –status and press Enter. If the available update has a higher number than the installed update, it means that an update is available.
- To install the update, type sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree –install and press Enter.
- Restart your browser to complete the update.
Method 2 of 3: Chrome
Step 1. Update your Chrome browser
Since Flash is built into Chrome, you don't have to do anything to run it. Keep Chrome updated to keep Flash running smoothly.
If the Flash built into Chrome is corrupted, try uninstalling and reinstalling the browser
Method 3 of 3: Firefox
Step 1. Switch to Chrome or Chromium browser
Adobe no longer supports Linux development other than the Pepper Flash add-on for Chrome. This means that the Flash add-on for Firefox is very out of date and doesn't receive any fix other than just a few minor, meaningless patches.

Step 2. Click CTRL + alt=""Image" + T simultaneously or press "Super" key (windows key) then type "Terminal.</h4" />
"Launch "Terminal". After that Terminal should open.
Step 3. Type "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer"
Step 4. Type in the admin password for sudo
You can't see the asterisk on the screen, but you still have to type it.
