This wikiHow teaches you how to attract attention and make more friends on Facebook. While there's no surefire way to get other people to visit your profile, there are things you can do to make your profile look more attractive. You can also use the “Suggested Friends” feature to add a large number of people you may know.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Attracting Friends' Attention
Step 1. Make some profile information public
While you don't have to set the entire profile as a public profile (and you shouldn't do that either), but publishing some personal identifiers helps ensure other users recognize you when you befriend them.
If you study at a particular school or university, for example, having the information publicly accessible helps people who are also studying at the same school or university to find your profile
Step 2. Follow the group
The best way to make friends outside of your social circle on Facebook is to join groups that match your interests (eg soccer or cooking groups).
Just joining a group is not enough to get a friend request. Make sure you upload comments and posts in the group to interact with other members
Step 3. Use an accurate profile photo
You may have a cool photo of Borobudur Temple with your body and face back to the camera, but a photo like this may not be able to present yourself to other users. Make sure your face is displayed in the photo and is easily recognizable.
If you have a photo with a celebrity or an interesting place (e.g. a fancy restaurant), use that photo because users will usually be more interested in adding you as a friend
Step 4. Make sure the uploaded post is written in proper spelling
When uploading a post, double-check for spelling errors. High-quality posts are more likely to attract people's attention than posts that are full of misspellings.
Step 5. Don't post negative or personal information
Facebook is usually the center of negativity and anger, especially in the midst of big political parties. You can make your profile stand out by posting positive posts, and not sharing personal information (e.g. breakups) on your personal timeline.
Step 6. Upload photos and videos as long text status
On Facebook users prefer to see visual media rather than reading long status texts. Keep uploading photos and videos to get more likes and attract more friends, unless the caption is under 200 characters long.
