This wikiHow teaches you how to create a fake Facebook account. Fake accounts are actually easy to create, but the tricky part is creating an account that looks convincing. Once your profile details are set up, create an account using the Facebook site on a desktop computer, or through the Facebook app on an Android device or iPhone.

Method 1 of 3: Creating a Trustworthy Account
Step 1. Create a new email account
Don't use a personal email for this fake account, but create a new one to use on the fake Facebook account.
- Do not use fake emails for services related to you (eg login information [login] for bank accounts and subscription services).
- Look for an email service that is not the same as the one used on your original Facebook account. For example, if the real Facebook account uses Gmail, create an email address in Outlook or Yahoo for the fake account.
Step 2. Determine the identity
Don't enter a lot of personal information on Facebook, but there are a few things to think about:
- Hobbies and hobbies - Make a list of things that fake accounts are interested in. Think about your favorite hobbies, daily activities, and entertainment for the new account.
- Birthdate - Set the desired birth date for the fake account. The options can vary, depending on the likes and interests listed on the fake account profile.
- Name - Use a common name that doesn't attract too much attention, but doesn't get too general, as it can create suspicion. Don't use familiar pseudonyms (such as "Jasmine Rose"). Try using a name that is popular in your "year of birth."
Step 3. Follow the "less is better" rule
It's okay to add things that are believable and non-searchable (such as current interests, photos, or locations), but don't overdo it. Adding inaccurate details will reduce the credibility of your account and make people suspect it is a fake account.
- For example, avoid listing your place of work or school on a fake account because this information can be easily traced to the truth.
- The more vague your profile details are, the more convincing the account will be.
Step 4. Avoid adding a lot of similarities between yourself and fake profiles
The current location, age, name, occupation, interests, etc. on the fake account must be different from the details in the real profile. In addition, the way you interact on fake accounts should also be different.
- For example, if you normally use correct punctuation and grammar on a real account, you should use grammar and capitalization incorrectly on a fake account.
- Things like age and interests will not be able to be traced to others. So, feel free to fabricate this information because no one will ever find out.
- Also resist the urge to add more than 1 or 2 people you know to this fake account. Also don't add 2 people who might find out if you've never been to a certain place (eg college) or event.
Step 5. Post your own photo
Using photos found on Google is very easy to search and find out if you have stolen content. So you have to take a photo and upload your own photo for the profile. Make sure there's nothing in the background of the photo that shows your actual location.
For example, it's better to upload photos of rice fields than photos of streets in your area
Step 6. Avoid showing your real face
Don't let people match your real face with a profile on a fake account. For this reason, it's best not to post photos of yourself.
- This also applies to photos of family and friends.
- Many people post photos of their pets (or in this case, photos of other people's pets). So, not posting photos of faces is actually a natural thing on Facebook.
Step 7. Add friends
While your fake profile is very convincing, it's meaningless if you don't interact with other people. So you have to make friends with other people. Try making friends with people who live in the same area as the fake account, as well as people from the same groups or interests as your profile.

Step 8. Like the page (page)
Clicking the button Like next to the page the fake profile likes you will add the page to " Likes " in your profile. This is an easy way to make your profile more convincing.
Step 9. Bring up a profile without self-details
People rarely talk about personality and other worldly topics. Openly revealing facts about yourself when you fill in the blanks on your Facebook profile can make people on your friends list suspicious.
Instead, show things about your personality by adding information in the "About" section of your profile, liking the page, updating interests, and so on
Step 10. Limit communication with other people using Messenger
This is one of the implementations of the "less, the better" rule: the more you reveal who you are or your activities, the easier it will be for others to notice that you are using a fake account. Try not to use Messenger at all, unless you really have to talk about something important with other users on Facebook.
If you have to use Messenger, try to stick to the language and communication style that you usually use on fake Facebook posts (e.g. use relaxed, informal grammar on Messenger if you usually do this in everyday posts)
Step 11. Try to stay active
People usually use Facebook quite actively throughout the day. So make sure to add friends, like posts, upload something once in a while, and occasionally update contact and work details.
- You can log into a fake Facebook account via incognito mode so you don't have to log out of the real account.
- If you want to take a break from your fake Facebook account, you can post a status like "On vacation." You can even upload "vacation" photos when you log back into the account later.
- Occasionally posting an incident in your life can increase the credibility of a fake profile. For example, maybe you could send a one-year anniversary for your work.
Method 2 of 3: On a Desktop Computer
Step 1. Open Facebook by visiting
The News Feed page will open when you are logged in.
If you're not logged into Facebook yet, continue to the step to enter your first and last name
Step 2. Click
It's a small triangle icon in the far-right corner of the dark blue bar at the top of the Facebook page. This will bring up a drop-down menu.
Step 3. Click Log Out
This option is at the bottom of the drop-down menu. You are now logged out of the original Facebook account.
Step 4. Type in your first and last name
Type a first name in the " First name " field, and enter a last name for this fake account in the " Last name " field.
Step 5. Add a fake email address
Enter this address in the " Mobile number or email " field, and retype the address in the " Re-enter email " field below it.
Step 6. Type in the password
Enter the password for the fake Facebook account in the " New password " text field.
Step 7. Enter your date of birth
Click the month drop-down box, then select the desired birth month. Repeat this process on the date and year boxes.
Step 8. Choose a gender
Check the "Male" or "Female" box at the bottom of the "Sign Up" section. Facebook does not provide other genders here.
Step 9. Click Sign Up
It's a green button at the bottom of the "Sign Up" section. By doing so, your Facebook profile will be created.
Step 10. Verify your email address
Open the email address used to create the fake profile. Click the email from Facebook with the subject " XXXXX is your Facebook confirmation code ", then click the button Confirm Your Account in the message. By doing so, your account will be verified, and you can now start setting up a fake profile.
When prompted, enter the code containing the five-digit number listed in the subject line of the email sent by Facebook before you started creating your account
Method 3 of 3: On Mobile Devices
Step 1. Start Facebook
Tap the Facebook icon that looks like a white "F" in a blue box. If you are logged in, the News Feed page will open.
If you're not logged into Facebook, switch to steps to create an account.
Step 2. Tap
You can find it in the lower right corner (iPhone) or the upper right corner (Android).
Step 3. Scroll down the screen and tap Log Out
This option is at the bottom of the menu.
Step 4. Tap Sign Up for Facebook
You can find this link at the bottom of the screen. Once you've done that, you can begin the process of creating an account.
Step 5. Tap Get Started
It's a blue button in the middle of the pop-up window.
Step 6. Type in your fake email address
Tap the " Enter your email address " text field, then enter the email address you want to use.
Step 7. Tap Continue
This button is below the email address field.
Step 8. Enter the first and last name for this fake Facebook account
Tap the " First name " field, and type in your fake first name, then tap the " Last name " field, and enter your last name.
Step 9. Tap Continue
Step 10. Enter the password
Tap the "Password" text field, then type in the desired password.
Step 11. Tap Continue
Step 12. Set the date of birth
Set month, date and year of birth for fake Facebook account.
Step 13. Tap Continue
Step 14. Determine the gender
Tap Male (male) or female (woman). By doing so, your fake Facebook profile will be created.
- Even though the option is not available Other or Prefer not to say, gender can be hidden later, if desired.
- If you're asked for a verification code, open the email you used to sign up for a fake account and look for the code in the subject line of the message sent by Facebook. After that, enter the code in the column provided.
Tips
Try creating and managing another social media account (such as Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or YouTube) using your fake identity. After that, you can link the social media account to your Facebook account to add credibility to the fake profile

- Using fake accounts to deceive and harass people is illegal, and can get you into trouble with the law and Facebook.
- Under Facebook's terms of service, you can only have one account, and you must use your real name. Your account can be blocked if Facebook finds out that you have a fake account.
