This wikiHow teaches you how to find the Wi-Fi password for an active Windows wireless connection.

Step 1. Click Start in Windows
The button is similar to the Windows logo. This button is usually in the lower-left corner.
Step 2. Click Settings
Step 3. Click Network & Internet
Step 4. Click Status
This option is at the top of the left pane and is usually selected by default.
If you're not already connected to a wireless network, connect to Wi-Fi first before you continue
Step 5. Click Change adapter settings
The Network Connections window will open.
If this option is not available, open Windows Search by pressing Win+S. Next, type in network connections, and click Network Connections.
Step 6. Right-click the connected Wi-Fi network
Step 7. Click Status
Step 8. Click Wireless Properties
Step 9. Click the Security tab
Now the password will be displayed in the "Network security key" box, although it's still scrambled.
Step 10. Check the box next to "Show characters"
Now the password is not scrambled and is displayed in the " Network security key " box.
