This wikiHow teaches you how to rent, buy, and find full movies available for free on YouTube. To buy or rent movies, you must use the YouTube site. However, you can search for free movies through the mobile and desktop versions of YouTube.

Method 1 of 2: Renting or Buying Movies
Step 1. Go to https://www.youtube.com/ in your browser
If you are logged in to your YouTube account, the YouTube main page will appear.
If you're not logged in, click Sign In in the top right corner of the page, then enter your email address and password
Step 2. Click the search bar at the top of the YouTube page
Step 3. Enter the keyword youtube movies and press Enter to search for "YouTube Movies" channel
This channel provides a variety of movies that you can rent or buy.
Step 4. Click YouTube Movies at the top of the search results
The title of this channel will appear next to the black film line icon on a red background. Once clicked, you will see the contents of the channel.
Step 5. Select the movies you want to rent or buy
Click a movie on the main page of the YouTube Movies channel to open a preview window.
To show more movies, scroll the page
Step 6. Click the blue button at the bottom right of the preview window
This button displays the price of the movie, labeled From (price). You will see a pop-up window.
If the film you selected is not rentable, you will see the selling price of the film in this button
Step 7. Select the movie quality
Click the SD or HD tab at the top of the window to select the movie resolution.
- The price for renting or selling SD movies is generally a bit cheaper.
- Some movies are only available in SD or HD quality.
Step 8. Click the RENT button or BUY.
These two buttons will generally appear at the bottom of the pop-up window.
If the movie you selected cannot be rented, the RENT button will not appear
Step 9. Enter your credit or debit card details, such as card number, expiration date, and owner's name
If the card details are already saved in your browser and/or Google account, you only need to enter the 3 digit CVV (security code) on the card
Step 10. Click the blue BUY button at the bottom of the window to purchase the film
Your transaction will be confirmed. You can watch movies that have been rented/purchased right away, or watch them later by visiting the https://www.youtube.com/purchases/ page. Movies that you rent/buy will appear on that page.
- You can also watch movies on your phone. Sign in to your YouTube account on the phone, then tap the Library tab. On the Library screen, select Purchases, then select the movie you want..
- Click BUY even if you only want to rent movies.
Method 2 of 2: Finding Free Movies
Step 1. Open YouTube
Tap the white triangle icon on a red background on your phone, or visit https://www.youtube.com/ in a browser on a computer. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, the YouTube main page will appear.
If you're not logged in, click Sign In in the top right corner of the page, then enter your email address and password
Step 2. Tap the magnifying glass icon in the YouTube app, or click the search bar at the top of the YouTube page
Step 3. Enter the name of the movie and the year it was released in the search box, then tap Search or press Enter to start the search
- For example, to find the movie "Suddenly Dangdut", enter the keyword suddenly dangdut 2006 in the search box.
- Generally, the films available are old films that are not very popular. Newly released movies generally cannot be found on YouTube.
Step 4. Scroll through the search results page to find the full-length movie you want
Step 5. Tap or click one of the videos with a duration close to the length of the movie you mean
If your internet connection is stable, the movie will start playing.
