Ad blockers are very useful for blocking annoying pop-ups and ads. However, these add-ons (extensions) will also prevent you from accessing certain sites or parts of the site. This wikiHow teaches you how to turn off ad blockers in web browsers on mobile devices and computers.
Step
Method 1 of 6: Using Chrome on Computer
Step 1. Run Chrome
The icon is a green, red, and yellow wheel with a small blue circle in the center. Click this icon to launch Chrome. In the Chrome browser, an ad blocker is a browser extension.
Step 2. Click
It's a three-dot vertical icon in the upper-right corner. This will open a menu.
On older versions of Chrome, the buttons were 3 horizontal lines
Step 3. Click More Tools
This option is at the bottom of the menu that appears when you click the 3-dot icon. This will open a submenu on the left side.
Step 4. Click Extensions
A list of plugins and extensions installed on Chrome will be displayed.
Step 5. Look for the ad blocker in the list of extensions
Each extension, such as uBlock Origin or Adblock Plus, is placed in a separate option box on the Extensions page (alphabetical order).
If you know the name of the blocker, do a search by pressing the button Command+F (on Mac) or Ctrl+F (on Windows) and write the name in the " Find " column in the upper right corner of the page.
Step 6. Click the switch
in the extension box.
The toggle to enable/disable add-ons is in the lower-right corner of the extension box. If the toggle is grayed out or on the left, the extension has been disabled.
- To re-enable the ad blocker, go back to this menu and click the button.
- Alternatively, you can click on the extension icon in the top right corner of your browser (there is an area for the extension icon to the right of the address bar), then click Pause on this site (for the uBlock Origin extension, press the button Ctrl and click to turn off ad blocker on certain sites). This way, you only turn off the ad blocker for the site you are currently visiting.
Method 2 of 6: Using Chrome on Android Devices
Step 1. Run Chrome
The icon is a green, red, and yellow ball with a small blue circle in the center. You can find the Chrome icon on your home screen, app drawer, or by doing a search.
Chrome hasn't implemented an ad blocker on the iPad or iPhone, but you can turn off the pop-up blocker
Step 2. Touch
It's a three-dotted vertical icon in the top-right corner of Chrome. A menu will be opened.
Step 3. Touch Settings
This option is at the bottom of the Chrome menu that appears when you tap the 3 vertical dots icon.
Step 4. Touch Site Settings
You can find it at the bottom of the Settings menu under the " Advanced " heading.
Step 5. Tap on Pop-ups and redirects
This option is at the bottom of the Site Settings menu next to the arrow icon pointing to the top right in a box.

Step 8. Touch Ads
This option is under " Pop-ups and redirects ", next to a web browser window-shaped icon.

Step 3. Touch the button
next to "Block pop-ups".
A gray toggle indicates that the feature is off and will disable Safari's pop-up blocker.
If you want to disable a specific ad blocker used in Safari, enable this button (to green) to continue. However, if you want to disable all ad blockers, your task is complete once the button next to " Block pop-ups " turns gray
Step 4. Touch Content Blockers
This will bring up a list of all content blockers installed on your iPad or iPhone. However, this option won't appear if the button next to " Block pop-ups " is still grayed out or you don't have a content blocker installed at all.
Step 5. Touch the toggle button
next to all active pop-up blockers.
If the button is gray, the feature has been disabled.

Step 5. Click the box next to all active ad blockers to uncheck

Step 4. Look for the ad blocker in the list
All browser extensions are displayed alphabetically in the menu on the right.
Step 5. Click the toggle button
next to an ad blocker.
The extension will be disabled when you surf the internet. If the button is gray and on the left, the extension has been disabled.
To activate the ad blocker again, go to this menu and click the toggle button
Method 6 of 6: Using Mozilla Firefox
Step 1. Start Mozilla Firefox
The icon is an orange fire or fox shaped around a bluish and purplish ball. To turn off the ad blocker, you must set up an Add-on (add-on or extension).
Step 2. Click

Step 4. Click Extensions
It's in the left sidebar on the Add-ons page. A list of all the plug-ins installed in Firefox will be displayed.
Step 5. Look for the desired ad blocker in the list of extensions
All active extensions (eg ad blockers) are shown under "Enabled" on the Extensions page.
Step 6. Click the toggle button
