If you've ever read the manga (Japanese comics) or watched the anime (Japanese cartoons) Naruto, of course you already know that all the ninjas in this story run in a unique way. You may not be able to run as fast as Naruto, but his style can certainly be imitated. Step forward with the right foot. Lean forward and keep your back straight, then raise your head to see where you're going. Hold your arms straight behind your back. When you're ready to run, imagine your favorite battle scene in Naruto and rush forward!
Step
Part 1 of 2: Preparing to Run
Step 1. Wear comfortable clothes so you can move easily
Try to act like Naruto to get deeper into the character, and imitate his style of dress, if possible. Make sure you wear running shoes. Choose a flat running spot with no obstructions so you don't trip over.
Step 2. Keep in mind that naruto's way of running is not the right way of running and it is risky to cause injury
People usually run with both arms and legs swinging in unison so that each step becomes stronger. Meanwhile, in Naruto stories, the characters often stretch their arms behind their backs to reduce air resistance. They have been trained for years to strengthen their legs so they don't need the extra power of the thrust. You can imitate this running style, but it will not be as good as Naruto because in the story, there is a power (called Chakra) that can increase the strength of the legs and make this running method effective. To imitate the appearance of the ninja running in Naruto, all you have to do is lean forward and straighten your arms behind your torso.
Step 3. Begin to be willing
Step forward with your right foot, keep your hands straight behind your back, and slightly bend your knees. Look ahead and focus on the direction of the goal.
Part 2 of 2: Run like Naruto
Step 1. Bend your torso forward, but keep your back straight
Bend your knees and tilt your entire torso forward. Theoretically, this position will minimize the opponent's target, making it difficult for you to be attacked from the front with long-range weapons. Raise your head by bending your neck so you can see where you're running.
- Tilt forward as much as 30-40 degrees. Don't bend over too much as you could fall forward.
- Imagine that you are running in a race and are about to rip the finish line tape. The band should be torn with the chest and torso, not with the arms.
Step 2. Hold your arms straight behind your back
Keep your arms straight, even if it's hard. Turn your palms so they are facing up. Theoretically, this position can reduce air resistance and help you run faster.
- Do not swing or move your arms. Keep your arms flexible so you can focus on your legs, but stay firm so they don't sway as you run. If both arms are stretched, you can lose concentration.
- Try to keep your arms at your sides and run. If you can keep your arms limp and run fast enough, your arms may float naturally behind you.
Step 3. Run fast
Do a forward sprint with your arms hanging limply behind you. Naruto's way of running is done with different leg muscles from the usual way of running, so at first it was a bit difficult. Keep practicing to run faster. This way of running also consumes more stamina so don't run too long at the start.
Start running normally by leaning your upper body slightly forward at a slow pace. Over time, you can increase your speed and let your arms fly behind you
Step 4. Keep your body in balance
When running Naruto style, just one wrong step will send you flying forward. Ensure balance throughout your body. Keep your head elevated and use your arms to balance your body as you lean forward. Always look at the direction you are running and try not to fall.
Tips
- Watch Naruto to learn more about how to run.
- Some Naruto characters also run in a normal way. For example, in one of the OVAs, there is a scene where all the main characters of Naruto run in the usual way.
