This wikiHow teaches you how to close a Venmo account on a computer. You cannot do this through the app or mobile browser. Before closing your Venmo account, clear the balance first. If there are still unpaid payments, you must complete the transaction in order to close the account.

Step 1. Visit
You can access Venmo using any web browser, such as Safari or Chrome.
If you are not logged in yet, click Sign In in the top right corner, type in your account information, and click Log in to Venmo.
Step 2. Click Settings
It's in the menu bar in the top-right corner.
Step 3. Click Close my Venmo Account
It's at the bottom of the page, above the blue "Save Settings" button.
Step 4. Click Next in the pop-up window
In order to close your account, you must review and download the latest financial statements.
Step 5. Click Next
It's a blue button at the top of the page, above your financial statements.
You can also save a copy of the financial statements to your computer by clicking Download CSV.
Step 6. Click Close Account to confirm
Now your Venmo account has been closed and you will receive an email from Venmo with one more transaction history.
