This wikiHow teaches you how to find the URL of a website. URL is the website address. You can find it in the address bar of your web browser. Alternatively, the link URL can be found by right-clicking and copying the link.

Step 1. Go to https://www.google.com in a web browser
Using your browser of choice, go to the Google page by typing https://www.google.com in the address bar of your web browser.
Step 2. Write down the name of the website
Click the bar below the Google logo and enter the name of the website.
Step 3. Press Enter
It will search the website. You will see a list of websites that match your search.
Step 4. Right click on the link
A link is a blue line of text that opens a website when clicked. Right-clicking on a link will display a popup menu next to the link.
Step 5. Click Copy Link Address
This will copy the link to your clipboard. You can do this on any link you come across on the internet.
If you're using a magic mouse, or trackpad on a Mac, you can right-click with a two-finger click
Step 6. Open a text editor
You can use any text editor. On Windows, you can use Notepad. On a Mac, you can use TextEdit.
- To open Notepad in Windows, click the Windows Start icon in the lower right corner, type Notepad, and then click Notepad. Notepad is an app that has a notebook icon with a blue cover.
- To open TextEdit on Mac, click Finder. Finder is an app with blue and white smiley faces. Click " Applications" and click TextEdit. TextEdit is an application that has a pen icon and a piece of paper.
Step 7. Right-click the command in the text editor
This will display a popup menu next to the command.
Step 8. Click Paste
This will paste the URL into a text editor.
