If you have an Amazon gift card, you can activate and use it on your Amazon account by entering the claim code into the " Gift Card " section of the account settings menu. While Amazon gift cards will automatically be applied or activated on subsequent orders, you can also activate gift card balances for specific orders by entering the claim code on the checkout page.

Method 1 of 3: Redeeming Gift Cards
Step 1. Visit the Amazon site
Click the link provided to access the Amazon site.
If you're using the Amazon mobile app, touch the app icon to open it. You need an internet connection or mobile data to access the account
Step 2. Click the “Sign in” option
It's in the lower-right side of the search bar.
On the mobile app, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, then click "Sign in" at the top of the menu
Step 3. Enter the account email address and password
Once done, click "Sign in" to access the account.
Step 4. Click the "Your Account" tab
This tab is in the same position as the previous "Sign in" button. Once the link is clicked, you will be taken to the account page.
- You can also hover over the " Your Account " tab and click " Your Account " at the top of the drop - down menu.
- On the mobile app, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the top left corner of the screen, then select “Gift Cards and Registry".
Step 5. Click "Redeem a Gift Card"
This option is under the " Gift Cards " tab on the " Your Account " page.
On the mobile app, tap the "Gift Cards" option at the top of the screen
Step 6. Enter the gift card claim code in the code field
The claim code is on the back of the card. You may need to rub the protective film on the back of the card to see the code.
- If you want to redeem a digital code, select the code from the confirmation email and paste it into the code field.
- On a mobile device, scroll to the "Redeem an Amazon Gift Card" section and tap the field. After that, you can enter the claim code in that column.
Step 7. Click or touch "Apply to your balance"
The gift card balance will be added to your Amazon account.

Method 2 of 3: Activating Gift Card Balance on Order
Step 1. Visit the Amazon site
Click on the link provided to access the site. The gift card balance will automatically be applied or activated on any order once the card code is added to the account. To apply the balance to other/specific purchases, you need to enter the card code on the payment page.

Step 2. Click "Sign in"
It's in the lower-right side of the search bar.
On the mobile app, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, then click "Sign in" at the top of the menu
Step 3. Enter the account email address and password
Once done, click "Sign in" to access the account.
Step 4. Add as many items as you want to buy to the shopping cart
After adding the item, you are ready to pay for the product.
Step 5. Click or tap the shopping cart icon
It's in the top-right corner of the Amazon page. You can also click the " Proceed to checkout " button under the shopping cart icon.
Step 6. Click or touch the "Enter Code" field
This column is below the "Payment method" section of the payment page. On mobile devices, you may need to scroll through the screen to find this option.
Step 7. Enter the gift card claim code
The claim code is on the back of the card. You may need to rub the protective film on the back of the card to see the code.
If you want to redeem a digital code, select the claim code from the confirmation email and paste it into the code field
Step 8. Click or touch "Place your order"
Amazon gift card balance will be activated on order!
Method 3 of 3: Getting Gift Cards
Step 1. Visit the Amazon site
Click on the link provided to access the site.
If you're using an Amazon app, touch the app icon to open it. You need an internet connection or mobile data to access your account
Step 2. Click "Sign in"
It's in the lower-right side of the search bar.
On the mobile app, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, then click "Sign in" at the top of the menu
Step 3. Enter the account email address and password
Once done, click "Sign in" to access the account.
Step 4. Visit the "Reload Your Balance" page
Click on the link provided to access the page. If you simply want to add money to an existing gift card balance, this menu allows you to select a balance (in US dollars) and a bank account. When ready to top up your balance, simply click " Reload $[X] Now ".
On the mobile app, you need to access the "Your Account" menu, scroll to the "Manage Gift Card Balance" section, enter the account password, and select "Reload Your Balance". Once in the balance menu, select the desired balance amount (in US dollars) and the bank account to withdraw funds from
Step 5. Go to the “Gift Cards” page
Click on the link provided to access the page.
On the mobile app, this option can be accessed by tapping the three horizontal lines icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, then selecting the "Gift Cards and Registry" tab
Step 6. Review the purchase options
There are several ways that can be followed to purchase Amazon gift cards from the internet:
- Select the " eGift " option to purchase a claim code. From this menu, you can specify the balance amount for the card, the recipient's email address, and payment options. Click " Proceed to checkout " when ready to buy an electronic card (“eGift”).
- Select the "Print at Home" option if you want to modify the card. From this menu, you can specify the balance amount, write a message, and choose a design. Click "Proceed to checkout" when ready to purchase and print the card.
- Select the " Mail " option to send a physical gift card home. From this menu, you can choose your balance and card design. Click "Proceed to checkout" when ready to purchase the card.
Step 7. Try buying a physical gift card from a convenience store
Unfortunately, Amazon physical gift cards are not available in Indonesia. However, if you're in certain countries (especially the United States) and don't want to buy a digital card, you can get Amazon gift cards at most major convenience stores such as Fred Meyer, Walmart, and Best Buy.

Tips
You can use credit card balances and credit/debit cards if the total cost of the items added to the shopping cart exceeds the gift card balance

- A gift card claim code is not a code that is exclusively generated for your account until you add it to your account.
- Don't share your gift card claim code with anyone before you enter it into your personal account.
