When you've just used a Visa gift card, you may not know the balance amount. If you want to know how much balance you have left on your Visa gift card, it's quite easy. To check your balance, you have two options. You can check your balance online or call the toll-free number listed on the back of the card.

Method 1 of 2: Checking Balance Online
Step 1. Visit the Visa gift card website
To check your balance online, you need to visit the Visa gift card website. Visit this web address:
Step 2. Select the option that says "Check Balance"
"Scroll down the web page to find the three options that read " Register Card," "Check Balance/Transactions," and "Personalize Pin." Select the option that says "Check Balance/Transactions."
Step 3. Enter the card number
After logging into the website, you will be immediately redirected to a page that asks for your gift card information. Enter your Visa gift card number. This number is located in the center of the card.
Step 4. Enter the due date of the card
Just below the card number, you will find the date. This date is the gift card's due date. Enter this date into the web page.
Step 5. Enter the 3-digit card code
You must enter a 3-digit code to check the card balance. Observe the back of the card. On the back there is a white line that says your card number. At the end of this card number, there is a 3-digit code. Enter this code.
Step 6. Check the balance
After entering all the numbers correctly, press " Check my balance." You will be redirected to a page showing your card balance and last transaction.
If an error occurs, re-enter the number correctly. You may have entered the wrong number. If it still fails, call the toll-free number listed on the back of the card

Step 1. Call the toll-free number listed on the back of the card
On the back of the card, there is a phone number. This is a toll-free number to contact customer service. You can call this number to check the balance.
Step 2. Answer customer service questions to check card balance
When dialing the number listed on the back of the card, follow all the instructions given. You may be asked to provide your card number, due date, and 3-digit code to find out the card balance.
Step 3. Call (866) 511-GIFT if you can't find the phone number on the back of the card
If you can't find the toll-free number on the back of the card, Visa provides a public phone number that can be used to check the card balance. Call (866) 511-GIFT if the toll-free number cannot be found or is not working.
