This wikiHow teaches you how to open a YouTube video URL via the YouTube app instead of the Android web browser.
Step

Step 1. Open the device settings menu (“Settings”)
This menu is indicated by the icon

on the page/app drawer. You can also find it on the home screen or notification section.

Step 2. Swipe the screen and touch Apps
This option is usually under the “Device” section.

Step 3. Touch
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
On some devices, this icon is replaced by a gear icon

Step 4. Touch Default Apps
If it's not visible, the option may be tucked away under another menu. Options may also have different labels, such as “ Opening Links ”.

Step 5. Touch Set as Default

Step 6. Swipe the screen and touch YouTube

Step 7. Touch Go to Supported URLs
A pop-up menu will be displayed.
This option is labeled “ Open supported links ” on some devices.

Step 8. Select In this app
Now, all YouTube links will be opened automatically in the YouTube app, and not the device's main web browser.
