This wikiHow teaches you how to download songs from Google Play Music on your Android device. You really can't download song files directly from Google Play Music to your phone. However, you can download through the app itself so you can listen to music without an internet connection, as long as you own the music or subscribe to the Google Play Music streaming service.

Step 1. Open Google Play Music
The app is marked by an orange triangular icon with a white musical note in the center.
Step 2. Touch
It's in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch Music Library
You will be taken to the main page of the music library (“Music Library”).
Step 4. Open the album or song you want to download
Touch the " Artists ", " Albums ", or " Songs " option to browse for the song or album you want to download.
Step 5. Touch
Select the "download" icon which looks like an arrow pointing downwards. If the icon is not available, touch the button “ ⋮ ” next to a song or album, then select “ Download ” from the drop-down list.
