Netflix has a variety of service plans to choose from. Expensive plans include access to HD (High Definition aka high definition) and Ultra HD video, and allow multiple people to watch from different devices at the same time. If you use iTunes to manage your Netflix bill, plan changes must be changed through iTunes itself.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Using the Site (Standard Billing)
Step 1. Sign up for Netflix's "My Account" page on your computer
You can directly visit this link: netflix.com/YourAccount.
- Even if you don't use Netflix for your computer, you will need to visit the website to change your account. You can't change the Netflix plan information for your streaming device or video game console.
- If you paid for Netflix using your iTunes account, see the next section.
Step 2. Click the Profile button in the top right corner and select the primary/primary profile
You will need to be logged in with your primary Netflix profile to be able to change plans.
Step 3. Find the "Plan Details" section to display the Netflix plans you currently have
Step 4. Click "Change Plan" next to your current streaming plan to see more options
In some regions, you can choose between 3 streaming packages: Standard Definition or single-screen SD, dual-screen High Definition (HD), and four-screen HD and Ultra HD (UHD). Each plan is more expensive than the previous, but allows more people to watch on different screens at the same time.
- Netflix recommends using a 3.0 Mbps connection for watching SD videos, 5.0 Mbps for HD videos, and 25 Mbps for UHD videos.
- Not all of the options above are available in all regions.
Step 5. Select the desired package and click "Continue"
Thus, your account will be set to the new plan. Changes made will begin in the next billing cycle, but your account's new features can be accessed immediately.
Step 6. Add or change to a DVD plan (United States only)
If you live in the United States, you can sign up for a Netflix DVD rental service with the Streaming service. These two services are managed by different Netflix branches, and are not available to subscribers outside the United States.
- Click the " Add DVD plan " link to display the DVD package. You will be taken to the linked site.
- Select the package you want to add. After adding your package, your order DVD will start shipping.
Method 2 of 2: Using iTunes (iTunes Billing)
Step 1. Open iTunes on the computer
If you use iTunes to pay for Netflix, adjust your plan settings through iTunes instead of the Netflix website.
Step 2. Click the "Sign In" button at the top of the iTunes window to open the login window
If you have logged in before, just skip this step.
Step 3. Enter your Apple ID and password
Make sure you use the same Apple ID to pay your Netflix bill.
Step 4. Click the profile picture in the upper right corner and select "Account Info" (account info) to open the iTunes account page
You will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password again.
Step 5. Find the " Subscriptions " section and click " Manage"
This way, you can make changes to your iTunes subscription, including Netflix.
Step 6. Select the desired new package in the " Renewal Options " section
You will be asked to confirm the desired changes. This change will take effect on the next billing date.
- In most regions, you'll have three plan options: single-screen Standard Definition (SD), dual-screen High Definition (HD), and four-screen HD and Ultra HD (UHD). The more expensive the package, the video quality and the number of people who can watch it simultaneously will also increase. Not all options are available in all regions.
- Netflix recommends using a connection a 3.0 Mbps for SD video, 5.0 Mbps for HD video, and 25 Mbps for UHD video.
- If you started your membership before October 5, 2014, you will only see the two-screen option. To see all available options, you must cancel your membership and re-subscribe. Customers who join after October 5, 2014 will see all available options.
