This wikiHow teaches you how to add friends to your Steam account. If you haven't made a content purchase for at least 5 US dollars (approximately 60-70 thousand rupiah) or entered a balance with the same nominal into your account, you can't add friends.

Method 1 of 2: On Mobile Devices
Step 1. Open Steam
This app is marked by the dark blue Steam logo. If you are already logged in to your account, you will be taken to the last page accessed when the application was opened.
- If not, enter the account username and password, then tap “ Log in ”.
- If you haven't spent at least 5 dollars (about 60-70 thousand rupiah) or have entered the balance with the same nominal into your Steam account, you can't add friends.
- After logging in, you may be asked to confirm your identity by entering a code sent to your Steam email address. If so, go to your email address, look for the message from "Steam Support", open the message, and enter the five-character code that appears below the "Here is the Steam Guard code you need to login to account [your account name]: ".
Step 2. Touch
It's in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch Friends
This option is on the left side of the screen.
On the Android device, touch Chat.
Step 4. Open the search bar (“Search”)
You can swipe down on the screen (iPhone) or tap the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the screen (Android).
Step 5. Type in the name of the friend or group
As you type the entry, you can see the username displayed in the page segment below the search bar.
- On iPhone, you need to touch the tab “ All Players ” below the search bar.
- On Android devices, you need to touch “ Search All Players ” below the search bar.
Step 6. Touch the username of the friend you want to add
As long as you spell or type their username correctly, the corresponding friend will be shown below the search bar when you finish typing.
You need to touch the name twice on Android devices: once under the search bar, and once on the next page
Step 7. Touch Add Friend
This button is below the user's profile photo. Once touched, the user in question will be added to the friends list (“Friends”) of your Steam account. However, you need to wait until he accepts the friend request sent.

Step 1. Visit the Steam website
You can access it at https://store.steampowered.com/. After that, you will be taken to the main Steam page.

Step 2. Hover over your username
If you're logged into your Steam account on your computer, you'll see your personal username at the top of the page.
If not, click " login ” in the top right corner of the webpage first, then enter your Steam account email address and password.
Step 3. Click FRIENDS
It's in the drop-down menu below the username. You will be taken to the “Friends” page on your personal profile afterwards.

Step 5. Type in the name of the friend or group
As you type, the usernames will appear in the page segment below the search bar.

This button is to the right of the username you want to add as a friend. After that, the user in question will be added to your profile page or friends list.
