When you start to launch Google Chrome, a list of your recently closed tabs will appear on the home page of the search engine. You can clean them manually by deleting individual thumbnails, using the incognito window on the next browsing session, or clearing browsing history.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Removing the Home Thumbnail
Step 1. Open a new window on Google Chrome
A series of thumbnails of the pages you recently closed will appear on the screen.
Step 2. Hover over the thumbnail you want to close
An “X” will appear in the top right corner of the thumbnail.
Step 3. Click the “X” to remove the thumbnail from this list of recently closed tabs
Step 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each thumbnail you want to remove from this list of recently closed tabs

Your Chrome browsing history will appear on the screen.
Step 4. Click “Clear browsing data”
A new window will appear showing other options on the screen.
Step 5. Select “the beginning of time” from the drop-down menu and place a check mark next to each file that you want to clear from your Chrome browsing history

Chrome will delete your entire browsing history, including the list of “recently closed” tabs that appear on your Chrome home page.
