If you're 12-15 years old and so anxious about wanting to kiss another teenager your age, that's okay! Feelings like this are normal and you don't really have to have your first kiss either. Kiss someone if you feel ready and really like that person. When it's time to kiss, show him 90% of your "steps" and let him reciprocate. After the kiss, act as usual. Everyone will get their first kiss at some point so you don't have to think too much about it.
Step
Part 1 of 4: Looking for Someone to Kiss
Step 1. Get to know someone you find attractive and well-groomed
Try to find someone that catches your eye. Maybe he is someone who is very adorable, smart, funny, or unique. Chat with him to build a friendship, and start flirting to show your interest. This person may be your classmate or a friend at a club you join after school.
- Even though it may take a while, you will feel relieved and grateful that your kiss was with someone you really and really like.
- To seduce her, start by joking, complimenting her, and making eye contact.
Step 2. Watch his body language to see if he wants to kiss you too
Usually if your crush likes you, you can tell. These signs include a smile, a tease, a "spoiled" punch or fist, a tickle, or a touch. This is a clear indicator that your crush may also want to kiss you.
- If he brushes his hair, this can be a sign that he likes you.
- If he jokes with you a lot and tries to make you laugh, he may want to kiss you.
Step 3. Kiss someone when you feel ready, regardless of your age
At the age range of 12-15 years, people usually start getting their first kiss. However, of course the views in each region regarding this age range are different. Don't feel pressured by kids your age who have had their first kiss and don't rush into kissing someone if you're still in doubt. Your intuition will tell you the right time to kiss.
- It's natural to feel anxious or nervous at the thought of kissing someone.
- If someone wants to kiss you, but you're not ready, try saying, "Sorry, I don't want that" or "Sorry, I'm not comfortable yet."
Step 4. Play kissing games with friends if you can't find a partner
Another way to find someone you can kiss is by playing games like Be Honest and Spin the Bottle. You can kiss someone at random or ask another friend to “set you up” with someone cute. Many people initiate their kisses through games like this with their friends so you can take advantage of that if you want to kiss someone.
- For example, tell your friend that you want to kiss someone (specifically) and they can challenge that person to kiss you while playing Honest Dare.
- If you play this game, keep in mind that you may end up being "obligated" to kiss someone. Make sure you are comfortable kissing before entering the game.
Part 2 of 4: Smooth Lips and Get Fragrant Breath
Step 1. Brush your teeth before kissing so that your breath smells fresh
If your breath smells bad, your kiss won't be comfortable or memorable. To prevent this, brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes. If you've already planned your kiss, brush your teeth before meeting your partner.
- You can also use mouthwash to get fresher breath. Gargle for about 30 seconds.
- To freshen your breath throughout the day, chew gum or mint gum.
Step 2. Use lip balm regularly to prevent dry skin
To make your lips feel smooth and comfortable when kissed, use the lip balm 1-3 times throughout the day. This product can moisturize the lips and prevent dry skin so that the lips feel soft and ready to be kissed.
For example, use a lip balm after brushing your teeth in the morning and/or right before bed
Step 3. Don't use lip gloss before kissing so you don't smear your face
While it can make your lips look shiny and seductive, lip gloss can make your face and lip area smudged if you apply it before kissing. If you're planning on kissing, it's a good idea not to use lip gloss in the first place.
As an alternative, you can wipe it before kissing
Part 3 of 4: Taking Steps
Step 1. Choose a closed or semi-enclosed place so as not to be disturbed
Ideally, find a place where there are not many people so you can focus on your kiss. You can choose a place outside of school, park, mall, or home, for example.
- Don't kiss during school hours. This is considered an intimate act of public display (known as a public display of affection or PDA) and can get you in trouble.
- Don't kiss when your parents (or your partner's parents) are around. Since you are both teenagers, they may feel that this is not acceptable.
Step 2. Seduce your partner to make him feel more comfortable
If he seems nervous, try to calm him down. You can look at him and smile, tell him a funny story or joke, or tease him with silly comments.
- This can warm the atmosphere and make the kiss less "stressful".
- For example, you could say, "Your eyes are so pretty" or "I like your shirt" to compliment her.
- You can also tell “knock on the door” jokes such as, “Tok Tok Tok!”, “Who is that?”, “Ade!”, “Ade who?”, “A kiss for you when the door is opened is beautiful!”
Step 3. Slowly bring your face closer, about 90% towards his lips
When it's time to kiss, look your partner in the eye, and tilt your head in the opposite direction to where his face is (e.g. to his left or right). Bring your lips close to hers and close your eyes once close. Instead of kissing him right away, stop when your face is about 2.5 centimeters away so he can "reciprocate" your step.
If you put your face in the same direction as your partner's position (e.g., don't lean your head and come closer to his face), there's a good chance that your heads will bump into each other
Step 4. Let him show 10% of his effort to get close to you so you can make sure he wants to kiss you too
Wait a few seconds for your partner to approach. This way, you can know for sure that he wants to kiss you too. It can also be a fun and seductive way to make the kiss less awkward.
If your partner moves away, stop and apologize. It doesn't matter if he doesn't feel comfortable kissing yet. You can say, “I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."
Step 5. Gently press your lips forward when touching hers
To enjoy the kiss, purse your lips slightly when your partner kisses you back, then let the kiss continue for 2-5 seconds. Your partner may not like it if you kiss him too hard.
You don't need to have a long kiss because it can make the situation more awkward than it needs to be
Part 4 of 4: Ending the Kiss
Step 1. Don't use your tongue right away when you get your first kiss
Try giving small, sweet kisses instead of using your tongue straight away or using a lot of pressure. After that, keep your head away from your partner's head. Using your tongue can be a reckless move or make the situation even more awkward because you've never kissed before.
When kissing at a young age, this is all you need to worry about or think about. Over time, you can develop the ability to make out
Step 2. Throw compliments on him to boost his confidence
After kissing him, you can say, "That was a great kiss!", "You're good at kissing, aren't you?", or "I liked it." Compliments like this make him sure that you like him and enjoy the moment of the kiss. In addition, praise can also be a transition to return to another chat.
You can ask, "Can I kiss you again?" before kissing him again
Step 3. Make sure the conversation continues after the kiss so that the situation doesn't feel awkward
To ease your and/or your partner's anxiety, try to have a natural conversation. If you previously talked about weekend plans, ask your partner about it. You can also bring up new topics to talk about, such as the next sporting event you'll be participating in.
- If you or your partner is silent after the kiss, there's a good chance that you will feel more and more uncomfortable or begin to doubt/regret the kiss.
- The time it takes to chat depends on the situation at hand. For example, if you kissed him when you were apart and now you have to leave, chat for 1-5 minutes before saying goodbye.
- If you're playing a kissing game, simply return to the game and let the next player take their turn.
Tips
- Once all your friends have had their first kiss, don't feel pressured to kiss someone else. You have no time limit for your first kiss.
- Watch kissing scenes from movies if you want ideas and inspiration.
- Chew gum throughout the day to keep your breath fresh. As a suggestion, enjoy watermelon flavored gum or min.
