This wikiHow teaches you how to turn a Spotify playlist into a collaborative playlist so other users can view, add, and delete songs. You can't add songs to other users' personal playlists, but you can share collaborative lists with other users and edit them simultaneously.

Part 1 of 2: Creating a Collaborative Playlist
Step 1. Open Spotify on the computer
The Spotify icon looks like three sound waves inside a green circle.
You can find this icon in the “Start” menu on Windows or in the “Applications” folder on Mac computers
Step 2. Select the playlist you want to share in the menu on the left of the window
The left sidebar of the window displays all the saved playlists.
- The playlist content will be displayed on the right side of the Spotify window.
- You can also click “ New Playlist ” in the lower-left corner of the window, then create a new playlist before sharing it.
Step 3. Click the three-dot icon next to the PLAY button
It's next to the playlist photo, at the top of the Spotify window. The options will appear in the drop-down menu.
Alternatively, right-click the playlist name in the left sidebar
Step 4. Click Collaborative Playlist on the menu
The selected playlist is instantly converted into a collaborative playlist.
- You can share playlists with other users. In addition, other users can add and remove songs freely.
- You can undo an action the same way. Just click on the three dots icon, then click on the option “ Collaborative Playlist ” which has been checked. The check mark will be removed and other users' access to the playlist will be revoked.
Step 5. Share collaborative playlists with other users
Click the three-dot icon at the top of the list, then hover over the option “ Share ” in the menu to view the available options.
Part 2 of 2: Adding Songs to a Collaborative Playlist
Step 1. Right-click the song or album you want to add
The options will appear in the drop-down menu.
Alternatively, click the three-dot icon next to the song or album. The same menu will open
Step 2. Hover over the Add to Playlist option in the menu
A segment containing your entire playlist will be displayed.
Step 3. Select a collaborative playlist from the menu
The selected song or album will be added to the list afterwards.
