This wikiHow teaches you how to add the same text (such as a name, phone number, or a specific quote) to the end of every message you send via Yahoo! Mail.

Method 1 of 2: Using a Computer
Step 1. Go to https://mail.yahoo.com and enter your account information if you are not logged into your account
The signature you use on Yahoo! The computer version of Mail will be different from the signature you use on Yahoo! Mobile version of Mail. Read the bottom of this article to set up a signature on Yahoo! Mobile version of Mail
Step 2. Click the cog icon in the top right corner of the screen to open the Settings menu
Step 3. Click Settings
Step 4. Click the Accounts button in the left pane
Step 5. Select an email address
All email addresses associated with your Yahoo! will appear in the Email Addresses column. If you have more than one email address, you will need to set a signature for each.
Step 6. Check the Append a signature to the emails you send option. Swipe to see these options.
Step 7. Enter your desired signature
The text you enter in the signature field will appear at the bottom of every email you send, unless you delete the text manually when composing the email. Therefore, make sure your signature contains polite words. Here are some tips for creating a more stylish email signature:
- Use the Tt key (the first button in the signature toolbar) to change the font size in the signature.
- Click B to bold the letters, or I to italicize the letters.
- Use the first A key to change the color of the letters, and the second A key to change the background of the letters.
- Click the link icon (which looks like a chain) to include a link to your personal site.
- If you use Twitter, you can paste your latest tweet in your email signature by checking the Include your latest tweet from Twitter option. After that, you will be asked to log in to your Twitter account, and click Authorize App on Twitter.
Step 8. Click Save to save the signature
Your signature will now be included with every email you send.
Method 2 of 2: Using the Phone App
Step 1. Open Yahoo
Mail. The app has a purple icon with a white envelope, and can be found on the home screen (iPhone/iPad) or the app list (Android).

Step 2. Tap the button at the top left corner of the screen
Step 3. Tap Settings
Step 4. Swipe the screen, then tap the Signature button in the General section
Step 5. Slide the Signature switch to the On position
Once the button is blue, you can use your signature on Yahoo! Mail.
Step 6. Tap the text box to edit the signature if desired
The default app signature will say “Send from Yahoo Mail for iPhone/Android.”. If you don't want to change the signature, skip this step.
Step 7. Tap the Done button in the lower right corner of the signature box
Now, your signature is saved.
Tips
- Consider including full contact information, such as your name, address, site link, phone/fax/mobile number, and email address if you're using email for professional purposes.
- Email signatures are very useful for attaching disclaimers, legal information, and confidentiality agreements.
