Step 5. Wait for the app to finish updating

This process may take a few minutes, depending on the strength of the network connection, the number of applications being updated, and the size of the application.

Tips

  • This process can also be followed on other iOS devices (eg iPhone and iPod Touch).
  • If you want a new app in a certain category, but don't know the name of the app you want, type the appropriate keyword into the search bar. You can get relevant apps easily.
  • If you accidentally install an unwanted app, you can remove it by holding down the app icon until the icons start to wiggle. After that, tap the "X" button in the top-left corner of the app icon.
  • You can download the iPhone-only app on the iPad. However, the app screen size will be optimized for iPhone so that the app window will appear smaller on the iPad screen or sometimes display with poor visual quality.

Warning

  • Don't download apps carelessly. The device may run out of storage space.
  • Read app descriptions and reviews before you download it, especially if you need to pay for the app.
