A large house takes a lot of time and effort, and the more complex the shape will require the more materials. This article will show you how to make a big house!
Step
Method 1 of 2: Big house #1
Step 1. Make a large foundation for the house (20 x 30 blocks)
Mark the outline with the material of your choice.
Step 2. Make a wall about 10 blocks high
Do these steps for all the walls in the house.
Step 3. Cover the top of the house with the roof
There are two types of roofs:
- Flat roof, just connect all the walls
- Pointed roof. Make the stairs a level higher until the two sides are connected. Fill in the remaining gaps.
Step 4. Place a door in every gap to prevent mobs from entering your home
Double doors are highly recommended because they look more beautiful but are not too important.
If you are playing on a difficult difficulty level, it is highly recommended to use an iron door so that zombies don't break into the house. Make a bunker just in case
Step 5. Place some torches in the house for lighting
You can use glowstones if the lower portal has been created.
Step 6. Place torches outdoors to prevent aggressive mobs from forming
Again, you can use shining stones or a jack-o-lantern if you prefer.
Step 7. Make a 2x2 hole in the front of the house
Fill the hole with glass to make a window. Glass can be made by melting sand in a stove.
Or, don't cover it with glass and shoot the mob remotely through the window
Step 8. Dig up some space on the floor and replace it with whatever nice looking block you want
Bricks and wool can also be used, but are hard to find. So, use whatever you like. Wool can be obtained easily in creative mode, so take advantage of that.
Step 9. Place a crafting table, a large chest, 2 stoves, and a bed
This step will complete your home. If you want, the chair can be made by placing steps and barriers on both sides.
Method 2 of 2: Big House #2
Step 1. Make a large frame with 30 x 30 blocks
Step 2. Build a wall (using whatever blocks you want) 15 blocks high
Step 3. Make the roof of the house
Tiered roofs look the best, but it comes back to your choice.
Step 4. Make the floor
Use an oak plank with a wool rug.
Step 5. Lay out the double doors
Double doors can make the house look better.
Step 6. Add a very large window
As a variation, also add some small windows.
Step 7. Add as many attics as you want
Step 8. Decorate the house as you wish
Keep expanding the house as you play.
Tips
- Make sure to level the potential home land first if necessary! Add leaves to create a bush around the house. In addition to the door, place shining stones, torches, or pumpkin lanterns on the outside if you prefer.
- Use the written method to build the house. You can purchase a Minecraft manual, such as the Minecraft Construction Handbook. The book contains step-by-step instructions on how to create a nice-looking house, garden, etc.
- Try not to use flammable materials. You definitely don't want the effort to make the house go to waste.
- Make a production table and look for pumpkins to make pumpkin lanterns. Then, place the torch and flask on the production grid. Shining stones can only be obtained in the Nether if you play in defense mode.
- Place various lighting sources in your home so you can see more clearly. You definitely don't want to get lost in the end. Try making a fireplace for decoration.
- A veranda can be made if you wish, but remember to put a torch and fence it off to keep the crowds away. Build watchtowers to watch or shoot mobs from afar.
- Any dirt in the house is not recommended unless you so desire.
- If you have one, use a series of furniture to decorate your home.
- Try to mix different kinds of logs, planks, stairs, make different balconies and rooms like a real house.
- Don't make a whole house out of rocks. Make the house unique.
- At both ends of the roof, make a hole measuring 6x6 and cover it with glass, then make two holes in the middle and cover it with glass again.
- Make a house with fire-resistant materials such as rocks.
