When you see a found iTunes gift card in your room, you imagine all the songs that could be purchased with it. However, have you ever used the card? Technically, you can't check iTunes gift card balances. Once the card is redeemed, the entire balance will be transferred to the Apple account. By checking your account balance, you can remember whether the card has been used or not. If not, the only step you can take to find out if the card still has a balance is to try to redeem it.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Checking Balance by Redeem Card
Step 1. Open iTunes
Visit iTunes by searching for its icon on your device or computer program list. Click/touch the icon or file to run the program. You can also do this through the iBooks Store or App Store.
Step 2. Visit iTunes Store
On computers, the " Store " button is at the top of the screen, below the toolbar. On an iOS device, tap the “Featured” button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Click “Redeem”
On the computer, click the “Account” button at the top of the screen. Open the drop-down menu. Click the word “Redeem” at the bottom of the menu. On iOS devices, swipe to the bottom of the screen and tap the "Redeem" button.
On Android devices, tap the menu icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. This menu icon looks like a square with three horizontal lines. Touch “Redeem” on the drop-down menu
Step 4. Sign in to your Apple account
In order to redeem the card and transfer the balance to your account, you will first need to sign in to your account. After clicking “Redeem”, the login field will be displayed. Enter your Apple ID and password, or create an account if you don't already have one.
Step 5. Type in the card code
iTunes will ask you to manually type in the card code. This code consists of 16 digits. Pay attention to the numbers starting with the letter “X” on the back of the card. Type in the code as shown. If the card still has a balance, the system will transfer the balance to your Apple account.
The iTunes program also gives you the option to enter the code using the device's camera. Click the “Use Camera” option to try it out
Method 2 of 2: Checking iTunes Account Balance
Step 1. Open the iTunes app
Look for the iTunes application on the device you are using. You can also find out your account balance by opening the iBooks app or the App Store and following the same steps.
Step 2. Visit iTunes Store
On a computer, look at the top of the screen. You will see the word “Store”. For example, when viewing a music library, the row at the bottom of the playback bar and the navigation bar at the top of the screen will start with the “Library” option and end with the “Store” option. Click the "Store" button.
- The " Store " button can be found in the same way in any segment of the library. The button appears in the same place, whether you're viewing your music library, videos, podcasts, or other media.
- Another way to quickly find out your account balance is to click the “Account” button in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Click “View My Account” on the drop-down menu.
Step 3. Find the account balance
On iPhone, iPad, and iPod, swipe down from the screen. On a computer, the account balance is displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.
On a mobile device, if you don't see the user ID, swipe the " Featured " button at the bottom of the screen, then swipe back on the screen
Step 4. Sign in to the account
If you are not logged into your account yet, tap the “Sign in” tab at the bottom of the screen. On the computer, click the “Account” button at the top of the screen, then select “Sign In” in the drop down menu. Enter your Apple ID and account password, or create a new account.
Step 5. Check the account balance
Once signed in, the “Sign in” tab will display your Apple ID (if you are using a mobile device). Below that, you can see the balance, such as “Rp 250 thousand credit”. On a computer, the balance is displayed in the upper-right corner of the content store window. If you know the balance that should be stored in your account, you can determine whether the gift card found has been redeemed or not.
