Stealing in stores is prohibited, but if you've bought an item and just realized at home that the anti-theft security piece has not been opened, you don't need to take the item back to the store because you can remove it at home. You can remove the anti-theft safety piece from your clothing in a few easy ways, such as the following:
Step
Method 1 of 7: Using Rubber Bands
Step 1. Position the ink tank on the safety plate face down
The inkwell on the security chip is the part that protrudes from the plastic part of the chip. This part is the opposite part of the embed. The pin is the circular part of the chip.
Step 2. Pull the piece of clothing where the piece is from the rest of the garment
Keep it as far away as possible so that the ink will not damage clothing if the sensor cracks or breaks.
Step 3. Slide the rubber band around the pin of the safety plate
The rubber band must be large and thick enough to be strong, but the band must be sufficiently round the pin. This will loosen the pins.
Step 4. Hold the ink portion of the safety plate with one hand
Step 5. Pull the pin with the other hand
The pressure on the pin must be strong so that the pin can be released and easily pulled from the safety plate.
If the pin is still hard to come off, try again with some rubber bands
Method 2 of 7: Using a Screwdriver
Step 1. Lay the garment on the floor with the inkwell side up
Step 2. Position the flat part of the screwdriver on the edge of the towering pyramid box
Step 3. Press firmly until it penetrates the plastic, then pull
Step 4. Do the same on the other sides
Step 5. Remove the foil layer
You will see a metal plate underneath.
Step 6. Use a screwdriver to lift one side of the metal plate that holds the bulkhead
Step 7. Remove the bulkhead from the safety
The bulkhead is easy to remove from the hole and the safety piece can be removed from the garment.
Method 3 of 7: Freezing Security Chips
Step 1. Place the clothes with safety strips in the freezer
Leave overnight for best results.
Step 2. Remove the safety plate
You can use your hands, pliers, or the rubber band method. Freezing will minimize the risk of ink spilling when you make a mistake – it won't spill frozen.
Method 4 of 7: Hitting the Safety Chip
Step 1. Gently pull the safety piece off the garment a few times. Do this ten or more times until the latch loosens up a bit
Step 2. Take the big nail
The nail must be larger than the safety chip and the nail head must be large enough.
Step 3. Pull the safety strip off the garment
Hold the long plastic piece of the safety strip in one direction.
Step 4. Punch the ink tank open
Hit the ink reservoir until it opens, but don't hit too hard. You will probably have to keep hitting it twenty times or more until the ink tank opens.
Do not hit too hard to prevent the safety chip from breaking
Method 5 of 7: Using Pliers
Step 1. Hold the safety plate with the ink tank facing up
Step 2. Pinch one side of the rectangular safety plate with pliers
Step 3. Pinch the other side with different pliers
Step 4. Using pliers, bend each side of the safety plate downward
Do not bend the safety plate too strongly so that the safety plate does not break in half and the ink does not spill.
Step 5. Keep bending until the safety plate comes off
Bending will loosen the pin and cause it to come loose.
Method 6 of 7: Applying Strong Pressure to the Electromagnetic Safety Plate
Modern security chips can use electromagnets instead of ink as an anti-theft security lock. So, when the safety chip breaks, you won't find any ink inside.
Step 1. Put something between the safety plate and the pin head to loosen it up a bit
Step 2. Bend the pin up and down repeatedly until the pin opens or breaks
Step 3. Pull the safety piece so that the pin pops out of the hole
Step 4. Disassemble the safety piece and remove it from the clothing
Method 7 of 7: Burning Safety Chips
Step 1. Burn the safety chip
Burn the curved part of the safety plate with a gas lighter. After exposing the fire to a few seconds, this part should start to burn because it's made of plastic.
Step 2. Use a knife or similar object to cut the safety pieces
Step 3. Once you've managed to get inside, you'll find a spring and a safety plate sticking out
Tips
- Don't do this before you leave the store.
- This method applies to square-shaped safety pieces with round pin fasteners.
- Some shops use magnets to remove the safety plate. So, you can also try attaching two magnets to each side of the pin to remove the safety plate. Another thing you can try is to use a strong magnet (neodymium) on the protruding plastic part and pull the pin out.
- You can also use the lighter method by facing the safety plate up and burning the end of the chip until the metal part and the two caps holding the pin are exposed. Bend the puck and the safety plate will come off.
- For a security plate that is rectangular in shape and has ink inside, cover the ink portion with insulation or duct tape.
- Take the drilling machine. Drill a safety chip from each side. This method takes some time. Plastic material will be too easy to drill.
- You can also use pliers to open the safety plate in a similar way to opening a walnut.
Warning
- Be careful when using a screwdriver!
- Don't steal.
- This method will not work on a security chip with ink. Before trying it, it is recommended that you leave the garment with the safety chip in the freezer to allow the ink to freeze.
