Are you looking for a way to curl your hair without damaging it? Or how to curl hair that doesn't take long? Your search is over! Here are some easy and fun ways to curl your hair in one night.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Braiding/Braiding Hair For One Night
Step 1. Slightly dampen your hair
Lightly spray your hair with water, or wash it and let it dry until it's damp and the water is no longer dripping.
- Do not braid/braid your hair if it is soaking wet. Braided hair takes longer to dry, and the curls won't show if the braid is still wet the next day.
- Optionally, use hair oil to keep your hair shiny and healthy.
Step 2. Brush each knot of hair
Comb or brush your hair, to remove any knots.
Step 3. Braid your hair
Divide your hair into two sections (for wavy hair) or 4-9 sections (for curly hair). Braid each section with a French braid. Braid as tightly as possible for curlier hair.
Two thick braids will result in wavy hair. While the braids are smaller and tighter to produce curls that look real
Step 4. Knot the end of the braid up
Tie your hair as close to the ends as possible, then tie the ends and tuck them up. This will ensure that there are no straight ends dangling from your curls.
Step 5. Spray hairspray onto your braids
This will ensure that your braids stay in place at night.
Step 6. Pin the braid to your head (optional)
If you have long hair, pull each braid to the top or side of your head. Clamp the braids using small tongs.
Step 7. Leave the braid while you sleep
Try not to twist during sleep. If you tend to toss and turn during sleep, try putting a tennis ball in the side pocket of your pajamas, so you can't sleep on your side.
Step 8. Unravel your braid
When you wake up, spray some more hairspray into your braids. Then untangle the braids and let your hair fall down.
Don't comb your hair. Combing your hair will cause your hair to tangle and spoil the results
Method 2 of 3: Dry Your Hair Naturally Without Using Heat (Plopping)
Step 1. Untangle and wash your hair
Brush and comb each knot. Wash your hair, and move on to the next step while it's still wet.
Step 2. Lay out a towel on a flat surface
Use a cotton t-shirt if you have brittle hair.
Step 3. Bend forward on the towel
While bending forward, center all of your hair in one place at the top of your head. Touch the ends of your hair to the towel.
Step 4. Twist the sides of the towel around your hair
Gather the towels on your left and right and twist them inward. Keep twisting until all of your hair is twisted in a bundle.
Step 5. Stand up
When you're done, the top and bottom edges of the towel should press against your forehead and the back of your head. Your hair should be in a pile at the top of your head, under the towel.
Step 6. Tie the towels together
Make sure the two “towel pigtails” remain twisted. Wrap the two around each other at the base of your neck or across your forehead, whichever is more comfortable for you. Make sure the towel ponytail stays in place by using bobby pins, or by tying it in a knot.
Step 7. Leave it for one night
Sleep with a towel in your hair. Release your hair in the morning and watch the gorgeous curls dangle!
Method 3 of 3: Using Other Methods
Step 1. Use hair care products
Curling mousses and anti-frizz products can add to your frizz. For best results, apply these products before you do other methods.
Step 2. Curl your hair using a sock or ribbon
Use socks for wavy hair and ribbons for smaller curls. Arrange your hair as follows:
- Divide your hair into sections. Pigtail every part.
- At the bottom center of each pigtail, divide your hair into two sections.
- Wrap the two sections of hair around a sock or ribbon, using an up and down spiral pattern.
- Apply hairspray and leave it for one night.
Step 3. Use curling iron
After all, this is what curling irons are for. Tightly wrap a small section of hair in each hair roller, and leave it on overnight. Check this article for more complete information.
Step 4. You can replicate the benefits of curling your hair with a home method
You can make your own curling iron by wrapping your hair around a piece of old cotton t-shirt. Wrap more loosely than with curling irons, with more hair. This will give you a wavy look rather than a full curly look.
You can even wrap your hair around your fingers, then lock them in position with a small pin before you release your fingers. Be careful not to prick your own finger
Step 5. Wrap it around the hair tie
Wear a hair tie that is stretched around your hair, making sure it is over the rest of your hair. Starting from one side of your head, wrap a small section of hair around the hair tie. Add another small section and loop again. Keep adding and looping until it reaches the back of your head. Repeat from the other side of the head until all the hair is gone. Leave it overnight and lower the hair tie in the morning.
Tips
- Use an undamaged hair band, to make sure there are no knots or split ends.
- To keep your curls from drooping during the day, wet your hands and "raise" your hair back by pulling it outwards and upwards with your fingers. This method will only work if you previously used hairspray in the morning.
