Folding clothes, including underwear, can save you valuable time when you need it most. The next time you do your laundry, try applying this folding and storing technique to your boxer shorts.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Folding the Quadrangle
Step 1. Wash your boxer shorts
Take it out of the dryer immediately after the drying process is complete, because boxer shorts that don't wrinkle are easier to fold.
Step 2. Prepare a tabletop or ironing board
Use a table that is at least waist-high, so you can fold it quickly without bending over.
Step 3. Place your boxers on the table
Flatten the pants and position them so that the rubber pants are on top.
Step 4. Fold the sides of the boxer shorts vertically, about 5 cm on each side
This will remove the beveled sides so that the pants form an even square. With the right angle, you will also find it easier to fold it.
The outer side of the bottom needs to be folded deeper than the top
Step 5. Fold the right side vertically to the center of the crotch
Smooth out the folds with your hands.
Step 6. Fold the left side over the right
Adjust the outer corners and flatten the folds before continuing. Your pants will form a thin rectangle.
Step 7. Fold the pants down about 5 cm
The bottom of the pants will be tucked into the rubber at the top of the pants.
Step 8. Fold the bottom of the pants up horizontally
Tuck 5 cm deep into the elastic to form a square pocket fold. You'll need to slide your hands into the corners of the elastic to make sure that the rubber fits tightly into your pants in small bundles.
Step 9. Trim the corners of the little bundle
Now your pants can be tucked into tight spaces for storage or packed in a bag.
Method 2 of 2: Folding the Roll Shape
Step 1. Flatten the boxer shorts on the table
Rubber pants are placed at the top.
Step 2. Place your hands on both sides of the rubber
Fold down about 5 cm. You will later need to roll up the boxer shorts and use this crease to tie the rolled up shorts.
Flatten the boxer shorts
Step 3. Fold the right side of the pants to the center of the pants
Step 4. Fold the left side of the pants over the right side
Step 5. Roll up the pants from the bottom up
Try to roll it as tightly as possible. The tighter the roll, the smaller the bundle.
Step 6. Roll towards the top of the pants
Flip the elastic back onto the trouser roll to tie it tight. Put it in your closet drawer or put it in a bag.
Tips
- Store folded boxer shorts in a vertical arrangement from front to back. You can store more boxers in the drawer this way, and you can pick them up more easily than if you just stacked your boxers.
- You can also purchase drawer dividers to store boxer shorts more regularly in separate compartments.
