Thanks to lipsticks, lip stains and natural solutions, everyone can have beautiful pink lips. Start by preparing your lips for the staining process by removing dead skin cells and moisturizing them, then add color with a lip stain, lip balm or your favorite pink lipstick. In addition, to keep your lips looking bright and beautiful, keep them hydrated and use sunscreen.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Preparing the Lips
Step 1. Use a brightening lip scrub
Dull and discolored lips are usually caused by the accumulation of dead skin cells. Many people get rid of dead skin cells on the face on a regular basis but forget about the lips. By scrubbing the lips, not only are dead skin cells removed so new skin can be seen, it also increases circulation so lips look more colourful. Try using a homemade scrub with the following ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Step 2. Try a brush for exfoliation
If you don't want to scrub, use a brush to exfoliate your face or loofah on your lips. Wet the tool first and massage the top and bottom of the lips until all the dead skin cells have been exfoliated. When it's done, your lips will feel refreshed and refreshed.
Or if you don't have a special brush, use a toothbrush! Use a clean toothbrush with soft bristles, moisten it with water, and massage your lips in circular motions. Rinse your lips
Step 3. Try using a lip serum to brighten the lips
Lip serum contains ingredients that increase circulation to the lips so they look healthy and bright. You just apply a small amount on the lips and leave it for about five minutes before rinsing it off. Try these lip serums to make your lips look bright:
- 1 teaspoon honey and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey and 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder
- 1 teaspoon honey and 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
Step 4. Use a moisturizing lip balm
Finish off the treatment with a good lip balm that keeps the lips moisturised making them look shiny and healthy. Stay away from lip balms with chemicals that can dry out your lips; instead, look for lip balms that contain natural ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax.
Part 2 of 3: Adding Pigments
Step 1. Use beetroot
The bright red beetroot has a lot of color and is easy to transfer onto your lips making them look more pinkish. Cut the beets into several pieces and rub them on your lips. Do it for about five minutes to get a nice color on your lips, then apply a colorless lip balm.
Step 2. Make a lip stain from the fruit
Strawberries, raspberries, cherries, pomegranates: there's a lot to choose from for lip stains! Take your favorite fruit and rub it on your lips for a few minutes. In addition, you can also dip a cotton swab in the red fruit juice and then rub it on your lips. Don't forget to apply a colorless lip balm after that.
If you loved popsicles as a child, you probably already know that berry-flavored popsicles can change the color of your lips too! Eat a red popsicle and let the color of the ice turn your lips into a deep pink
Step 3. Try a pink lip balm
If you want lips that look natural and not too flashy, a pink lip balm can be the choice. Look for a tinted lip balm that gives a hint of color to your lips. Apart from giving color, tinted lip balms also moisturize and nourish your lips every time you use them.
- The tinted lip balm looks darker every time you apply it. If you want a deeper pink lip, apply more than once.
- Tinted lip gloss is also great if you want a bit of color but not too flashy.
Step 4. Choose a pink lip stain
This product gives a natural appearance that lasts longer than lip balms. The lip stain colors the top layer of skin and blends in with the natural skin tone to make it look a little more pink. Find a lip stain in the color you want, then experiment with applying it several times until you get the color you want.
- The more you apply, the darker the color will be.
- To prevent the lip stain from smudging, apply a layer of colorless lip balm on top.
Step 5. Try using a pink lipstick
This is the perfect solution on days when you want your lips to look bright pink. Choose your favorite lipstick color and apply it on the upper and lower lips. Press the tissue against your lips to remove excess lipstick and to make the lipstick last longer.
Part 3 of 3: Keeping Lips Bright Pink
Step 1. Protect from the sun
The skin on the lips is like the skin on the rest of the body and is vulnerable to sun damage. The sun can darken your lips and cause dark spots, so don't forget to protect your lips when you're out in the sun. Use a lip balm with SPF 15 or higher to keep your lips looking pink.
Step 2. Quit smoking
Smoking darkens the lips in addition to making them wrinkled and thin. If you want full, pink lips, it's time to break this habit.
Step 3. Stay hydrated
Chapped lips look unhealthy and hurt. To avoid this problem, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. When you're dehydrated, your lips are often the first to show it.
- Replace coffee and tea with water whenever possible.
- Avoid consuming excessive alcohol which can cause dehydration and dry lips.
Step 4. Sleep with a humidifier
In winter when the air is very dry, maintaining hydration by drinking water is not always enough. If you have dry skin that cracks and becomes flaky easily, try sleeping with a humidifier in the bedroom. This machine is designed to add moisture to the air and keep skin soft and supple.
Tips
- If your natural lip color is dark pink and you want them to be lighter, apply concealer and put on a pink lip gloss. This is easier to do than just applying it directly to your lips.
- Regularly perform treatments to hydrate and exfoliate dead skin cells to keep your lips healthy and looking beautiful.
