This wikiHow teaches you how to delete a Facebook account without the option to restore it again. However, you cannot delete an account via the Facebook mobile app.
Step
Step 1. Visit the Facebook deletion page
In a web browser, visit by typing the URL into the address bar and pressing Enter.
If you are not logged into your account automatically, enter email address or phone number and password account, then click Login ("Enter"). It's a blue button in the middle of the page.
Step 2. Click Delete My Account (“Delete My Account”)
This option is below the warning message that appears in the middle of the page. Once clicked, a pop-up window will be displayed.
Step 3. Re-enter the account password
You will need to enter it in the " Password " field at the top of the window.
Step 4. Type in the captcha code
This code is a series of letters and numbers arranged randomly and displayed in the center of the window. Type your answer into the field below the code.
If you can't read the code, you can click the link “ Try another text ” (“Try another text”) or “ an audio captcha ” (“Audio Captcha”) below the code to display the new code.
Step 5. Click the OK button
After that, the code will be entered. If the code is correct, a new pop-up window will be displayed.
If you enter an incorrect password or captcha code, you will be asked to try again
Step 6. Click the OK (“OK”) button to delete the account
It's below the pop-up window. The process of permanently deleting an account takes about 14 days. After that, your account will be deleted from Facebook.
Tips
You can download account data by going to the " Settings ” (“Settings”), clicking “ General ” (“General”), and clicking on the link “ Download a copy ” (“Download a copy”) located at the bottom of this page.
Warning
- You cannot restore your account after 2 weeks have passed since the permanent deletion process was carried out.
- Facebook may still store your account information in its database.
