Electabuzz is a Pokémon that was introduced in the very first version of the Pokémon game. In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Electabuzz can evolve into an Electivire. This means that Electabuzz won't evolve if you're playing the Game Boy Advance or the original Game Boy versions of Pokémon. You may be able to transfer Electabuzz to a newer version of the game and evolve it within the game.
Step
Part 1 of 2: Evolving Electabuzz
Step 1. Transfer Electabuzz to a game generation IV or later
The evolutionary version of Electabuzz, namely Electivire, is not included in the old version of the game.
- You can't transfer Pokémon from a generation I or II game to a newer generation game. You have to get it from a game generation III or later. Remember, you can only evolve Electabuzz in game generation IV or later.
- In Generation IV games, you must complete the main storyline before you can move Pokémon from Generation III games through Pal Park.
Step 2. Find the Electrizer
Electabuzz needs this item to evolve into Electivire. The location to find the Electrizer depends on your game. You can't find the Electrizer in Generation III or earlier games.

Step 3. Give Electirizer to Electabuzz to save
Electabuzz must save the object in order to evolve.
Step 4. Exchange Electabuzz to your friends
Electabuzz must be exchanged in order to evolve. Find someone who will trade back the evolved Electivire. Electabuzz will instantly evolve when exchanged.
- You can only exchange Pokémon with people who own the game of the same generation as you. In any Pokémon game, you won't be able to swap Pokémon until you beat the first or second Gym.
- In Generations IV and V, trade Pokémon through the Union Room at any Pokémon Center. You can also use the infrared feature in Generation V games.
- In Generation VI games, online or local exchanges are made using the Player Search System.
Step 5. Ask a friend to exchange your Electivire back to you
Your friend will have an Electivire on his team once the redemption process is complete, so make sure that he trades it back to you.
The Electrizer will disappear after Electabuzz evolves
Part 2 of 2: Finding the Electirizer
Step 1. Diamonds and Pearls
You need to catch a wild Elekid that might have an Electrizer. The main challenge with this method is that you have to have a Pokémon FireRed game cassette, then plug the tape into the second cassette slot of your DS (this doesn't apply to the DSi, 3DS, or 2DS). You must also have completed the National Pokedex in your game, but you are not required to have beaten Elite 4. Once you meet the requirements above, you have an 8% chance of finding Elekid on Route 2015 and Valley Windworks.
Step 2. Platinum
You can find the Electrizer in Valley Windworks by walking with the Surf skill to the right side of the bridge before Valley Windworks, then descending near the windmill behind the fence that you normally can't reach. The Electrizer can also be owned by the wild Electabuzz, which you can find in the grass of Route 222.
Step 3. HeartGold and SoulSilver
You can find the Electrizer on floor B1F in the Cerulean Cave. You'll need Surf, Flash and Rock Climb skills to achieve this. Go to the top right corner of the B1F floor and you'll see a rocky wall that you can climb down. Keep moving to the right, then use Rock Climb again to climb back up again. You can find the electrizer on the floor not far from there.
If you have a Pokewalker pedometer and have access to Amity Field during a special event, you can use the Pokewalker for a chance to get an Electrizer after walking 2550 steps
Step 4. Black and White
You can find the Electrizer in the Black and White game on Route 13. Route 13 can only be accessed after you have completed the main storyline. You need to bring a Pokémon with the Cut skill. You can reach Route 13 from north of Undella Town. Keep walking north until you find a ladder leading down to a sandy area. Go down the ladder, then use Cut on the tree. You can find the Electrizer a few steps behind the tree.
Step 5. Black 2 and White 2
You can find the Electrizer from the Antique Shop on Join Avenue, but you can only get it by chance. Electrizer is one of the gifts that can be obtained from Small Box, Ordinary Box, Big Box, and Super Big Box as long as Agata the Pokémon Breeder or Jane the Parasol Lady is guarding the shop.
In White 2, you can find the Electrizer in the Plasma Frigate cafeteria. The Plasma Frigate ship moves to various places in the game, but it will be permanently parked outside the P2 Lab once you defeat Ghetsis
Step 6. X and Y
You can get the Electrizer by getting 32 BP from the Battle Maison. The Battle Maison can only be accessed after the main storyline has been completed. You'll face tough battles, and the items and Pokémon you can use will also be limited. Usually, you will get 1 BP every time you win a battle, but consecutive wins will give you a bonus.
You can play Balloon Popping at PokeMileage Club. You must complete the game level 2, which requires you to pay 100 Poke Miles. Each Mile can be earned by walking in the game, swapping Pokémon with other players, and battling online. Pop 10 balloons to increase your score and get a chance to win the Electrizer
Step 7. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
You need to catch a wild Elekid, which might have an Electrizer. You can only find wild Elekid on Mirage Mountain which appears south of Route 129. You'll need to ride Latios or Latias to Mirage Mountain because there's no other way to do this. Mirage Mountain appears randomly every day.
