Since December 2012, Google only supports automatic synchronization with Microsoft Outlook if you're using Google Apps for Business, Education, and Government. If your Google calendar is on a Google Apps for Business, Education, and Government account, click here to get started with Google Apps Sync. Otherwise, you can only manually sync your calendar with Outlook via calendar export. This article will guide you through it.
Step
Step 1. Open Google Calendar in a browser
Make sure you also have Microsoft Outlook open.
Step 2. On the bar on the left, you will see "My Calendars" with an arrow next to it
Click the arrow and select "Settings."
Step 3. You will see a list of all your calendars under "CALENDARS"
Select the calendar you want to sync, and click the calendar name to view the details for that calendar.
Step 4. Scroll to the "Private Address" section and click the "ICAL" button
Step 5. A dialog box with URL will appear
Click the URL.
Step 6. You will be prompted to import the calendar into Outlook
Click OK to confirm selection.
Step 7. Wait for Google Calendar to open with the view next to Outlook
The calendar will also be added to the navigation bar, under "Other Calendars." You can view all events and reminders in Outlook, but all changes you make in Google Calendar will not be saved in Outlook. You'll need to do a manual export to transfer the changes.
