Going blonde will change the mood and surprise a lot of people with your cheerful new look. However, bleach usually damages hair and makes it look pale and punk-like. Fortunately, hair can be bleached alone easily. You don't even have to pay expensive salon fees.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Using Lemon Juice
Step 1. Prepare lime juice
We recommend using freshly squeezed lime juice, but bottled lime juice is fine too. The amount of lime juice you need depends on the length, thickness, and areas of bleaching in your hair.
- If you have long hair and want to lighten all of your hair, it might be a good idea to prepare 2 cups of lime juice. If you have short hair, or just want to lighten some of your hair, cup of lime juice should suffice.
- You can also use non-organic lemon juice, but use it only as a last resort as you won't know what toxins and/or pesticides are in the juice. The amount can be adjusted, but the impact is still not great for you.
Step 2. Mix lime juice with water
Mix 2/3 lime juice with 1/3 water in a spray bottle.
The amount of lime juice mixed with water will depend on the amount of solution you want to make. The figure above is not a measure, but a ratio. For example, if you use 2 cups of lime juice, you will use 1 cup of water. If you use 1 cup of lime juice, it will only contain cup of water
Step 3. Spray the solution onto the hair
If you want to lighten all of your hair, spray the solution until it coats your hair completely. Use a wooden or plastic comb to evenly distribute the solution on your hair.
Don't let the solution get in your eyes as it will burn
Step 4. Separate the hair into sections
If you only want to lighten a few sections of your hair, separate them into sections and apply lime juice directly to the sections of hair you want to lighten.
- Dip your fingers into the mixture and then spread it over the sections of hair you want to lighten.
- Alternatively, dip a cotton ball or cotton swab in the solution, take the part you want to lighten, and then run the cotton swab through your strands.
- If your hair is long enough, try dipping it directly into the solution, and then working the roots with your fingers.
Step 5. Use heat to activate the lime in your hair
This method works best if you are applying heat to your hair, especially the natural heat from the sun.
- If the weather is very sunny and warm, it's best to sunbathe outside for a few hours. The rays, plus the heat of the sun will brighten your hair. Make sure you put sunscreen on your face and other exposed areas of your skin!
- If you can't sunbathe, another option is to use a hairdryer. Turn on the hairdryer on its highest setting, and dry hair thoroughly.
Step 6. Repeat
You can repeat this process as many times as you want to get the desired result. However, keep in mind that limes are highly acidic, and will dry out hair if used too often.
- Be aware that results may not be immediately visible in one treatment, especially if your hair is quite dark.
- Consider using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, or hair care products to keep your hair healthy.
Step 7. Reduce the brassiness, if needed
If you use the lime juice method to lighten your hair, the results may appear more "yellowish," meaning your hair color is more orange than blonde. If this happens, use pasta or tomato sauce to counteract it.
- Make sure the tomato sauce or paste contains only tomatoes and water.
- Apply the tomato sauce so that it spreads evenly throughout your hair.
- Wrap the head with aluminum foil.
- Leave it for 20-25 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Repeat every day until the yellowness is gone,
Method 2 of 3: Using Honey and Vinegar
Step 1. Mix the ingredients in a bowl until smooth
You'll need to mix all the ingredients thoroughly, so it's best to use a whisk or fork to stir. These methods require a lot of ingredients, but when they work together, the results are much better than alone. Fresh honey (raw honey) is best used because it is slightly processed, which means the results will be as expected because there are no other substances or ingredients that can deviate the finished product from the desired result. Usually, you can buy them at health food stores. The materials needed are:
- 2 cups distilled vinegar.
- 1 cup of fresh honey.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon or cardamom powder. There is no difference in the finished product between the two, so use what is available, or what can be used for other things at once.
Step 2. Apply the mixture to your hair
The mixture should be applied to wet hair. You can use a comb or your fingers to spread the mixture evenly through your hair.
- You don't have to take a shower to wet your hair. Simply spray water with a spray bottle, or wash your hair in the sink faucet.
- If you're only going to lighten part of your hair, separate the areas you want to lighten and apply the mixture with your hands or a cotton swab, or dip your hair directly into the mixture.
Step 3. Put on the plastic wrap
Wrap the plastic around your head tightly enough to keep the hair from moving, but not to hurt your head.
- You can use a plastic bag that has a drawstring, or use a rubber band to keep the bag from moving.
- You can also use a shampooing hat, if you have one.
- Silicone swim caps can also be worn.
Step 4. Leave it overnight
This mixture doesn't need to be out in the sun, but it will still take some time to work. Therefore, it is better to take it to sleep.
Wash the mixture from your hair thoroughly in the morning. You can use anything to clean your hair
Step 5. Repeat this process as desired
Just like the lime juice method, it takes a lot of time to get the color you want. If you want to add brightness to your hair color, apply the mixture back to your hair. Don't forget to keep your hair healthy with moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
Method 3 of 3: Using Chamomile Tea
Step 1. Brew your tea
Your tea needs to be strong, so it's best to use 2 tea bags. Brew the tea so that the amount is sufficient to rinse your hair completely.
- The amount of tea will depend on the length of your hair. If you have short hair, one large cup should suffice. If you have long hair, you will need a pitcher of tea. Fortunately, this tea is quite red and easy to make. If you need more, you can make more.
- Make sure you wait until the tea cools down before applying it to your hair! Please use warm tea, just make sure the tea won't burn your skin.
Step 2. Separate the hair into sections
If you only want to lighten a section of your hair, separate that section from the rest of your hair. Don't pour all the tea directly into your hair, instead put the tea in a spray bottle and spray it onto the part of your hair you want to lighten.
You can also dip the area you want to lighten, and use your fingers to work at the roots
Step 3. Rinse hair with tea
This process will be smoother if done in the bathroom without wearing clothes.
Slowly pour in the tea until your hair is completely wet with the tea
Step 4. Leave your hair
If you like, just leave the tea in your hair as long as you can. Some people suggest leaving it on for 15 minutes, while others suggest leaving the tea on until you wash your hair.
You can try both methods and compare the results
Step 5. Take time to sunbathe
If possible, dry your hair in the sun moistened with tea. This method will speed up the enlightenment process.
- If you don't want to soak your hair with tea, you can put the tea in a spray bottle and spray it on your hair before drying it in the sun.
- Do not forget, use sunscreen every day on the skin that is not covered.
Step 6. Repeat the process
All methods take a long time to show results. Fortunately, the tea method doesn't damage hair as badly as lime juice.
If you have very dark hair, be patient! Your hair will be lighter in the future, but keep in mind that your hair won't go blonde without using bleach or other chemical treatments
Tips
Trim your hair regularly to keep it healthy. Color-lightening ingredients will eventually damage your hair, especially the ends
Warning
- Try not to get the tea in contact with the skin. If this method is used frequently, the tea will begin to stain the skin.
- Understand that getting blonde hair without bleach is very challenging and really depends on the color and type of hair. Some people get the desired results quickly and easily. However, others find it difficult to get blonde hair without bleach.
- Don't let the lime juice get in your eyes because it will be very painful!
