Method 1 of 2: Via Facebook App
Step 1. Tap the white "F" icon on a blue background to open Facebook
If you are logged in, the news feed page will appear.
If you are not logged into Facebook, enter your email address or phone number, then tap Login.
Step 2. Tap the button in the lower right corner of the screen (iPhone) or the upper right corner of the screen (Android)
Step 3. Tap your name, which will appear at the top of the menu
You will be directed to the profile page.
Step 4. Swipe the screen, then tap the About option
This option is under the information section, just below your profile photo.
Step 5. Tap on the Contact Info option under the profile information present at the top of the page
On this screen, you will see a "Mobile Phone" entry.
Step 6. Scroll through the screen, then tap the Edit button next to the "Contact Info" header
The location of this "Contact Info" section varies, depending on the information on your Facebook profile. However, you'll definitely find it above the "Basic Info" box.
Step 7. Tap the box next to the mobile number
You'll see the phone number under the "Mobile Phones" header.
Step 8. Tap the Only me option near the bottom of the menu
Setting the visibility of your phone number to only yourself will hide the number from other Facebook users, but will still allow you to use Facebook Messenger.
You may need to tap More Options… to be able to see options only me.
Method 2 of 2: Via Website
Step 1. Go to the Facebook website
If you are logged in, the news feed page will appear.
If you're not logged into Facebook, enter your email address or phone number into the field in the upper right corner of the screen, then click Login.
Step 2. Click your name in the top right corner of the Facebook page
Step 3. Click the About photo below the cover photo
Step 4. Hover over the phone number
The phone number will appear in the top right corner of the "About" page.
Step 5. After hovering over the phone number, click Edit your contact and basic info
Step 6. Click the Edit option to the right of the mobile number
This button won't appear until you hover over the "Mobile Phones" box.
Step 7. Click the lock icon below the mobile number
Step 8. Click the Only me option on the menu that appears
