Method 1 of 3: Using iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Open the Facebook app
This app has a blue icon with a white "F" on it.
If you are not logged into your Facebook account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then touch the button Login.
Step 2. Touch the button
It's in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch your name
It's at the top of the screen.
Step 4. Touch the Edit About button
It's below your profile picture.
Step 5. Scroll to the "Basic Info" section and touch Edit
Knob Edit it's in the upper-right corner of the "Basic Information" section.
Step 6. Touch the icon marked people
This option is to the right of your date of birth.
Step 7. Touch the More Options button
This option is under the drop-down menu.
Step 8. Touch the Only Me button
Selecting this option means that only you can see your birthday on your profile.
Step 9. Scroll down the screen and touch the Save button
It's at the bottom of the page. Your date of birth is also now hidden from your profile, which means your friends won't be able to see this information if they visit the "About" section of your Timeline.
Method 2 of 3: Using Android
Step 1. Open the Facebook app
The logo is blue with a white "F" written on it.
If you're not logged into your Facebook account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then tap Login.
Step 2. Touch the button
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Tap your name
It's located at the top of the screen.
Step 4. Scroll down the screen and tap the About button
This button is located below the profile photo.
Step 5. Tap the More about you button
The location of these tabs can appear in various parts of the screen, but they usually appear directly under personal information at the top of this page.
Step 6. Scroll down until you find the "Basic Info" section and then touch the Edit button
Knob Edit it's in the upper-right corner of the "Basic Info" section.
Step 7. Tap on the person icon which is next to the birthday date
This option is to the right of your date of birth.
Step 8. Touch the More Options button
This option is at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 9. Touch Only Me
Selecting this option means that only you can see your birthday on your profile.
Step 10. Scroll down the screen and tap on the Save button
This button is located at the bottom of the page. Now even people who visit your profile won't be able to see your birthday. That information can only be seen by you.
Method 3 of 3: Using the Facebook Website
Step 1. Go to the Facebook website
Facebook will also open on the page ' News Feed' You.
If you are not logged into your Facebook account, enter your email address and password in the upper right corner of the page and click Login.
Step 2. Click the "tab" of your name
It is located at the top right of the Facebook page.
The name "tab" also contains a thumbnail image of your current profile photo
Step 3. Click the Update Info button
This option is to the right of your name, above the Timeline segment.
Step 4. Click Contact and Basic Info
It's on the screen on the left.
Step 5. Scroll to the "Basic Info" section and hover over "Birth Date"
The "Basic Information" section is under the "Websites and Social Links" section. Hovering over "Date of Birth" will bring up options Edit.
Step 6. Click Edit
It's to the right of your date of birth.
Step 7. Click the person-shaped icon
This option is to the right of your date of birth.
Step 8. Click Only Me
This option hides your date of birth from your profile.
If you want to hide your year of birth, you can edit it directly below your date of birth
Step 9. Click Save Changes
Your date of birth will no longer appear on your profile.
