Tired of the annoying Snaps of your sister's friends? Or maybe your friends are torturing you with Snaps from the beach while you're busy at work? Whatever the reason, you no longer need to be patient! Here's how to block someone on Snapchat.
Step
Step 1. Block someone on Snapchat
Blocking someone on Snapchat is a very easy process. Open the Snapchat app and do the following:
- Go to your friends list. Swipe until you find the username of the person you want to block.
- Tap once on the username. You will see a gear icon appear to the right of the username.
- Tap the gear icon. A popup menu will appear with the option to block the friend.
- Tap the Block button. The username will shift to the "Blocked" section, below your friends list (under the red line).
- The user has been blocked. He will no longer be able to send you Snaps or view your posts.
Step 2. Unblock people on Snapchat
If you change your mind about someone on your block list, it only takes a moment to unblock them:
- Go to your friends list. Swipe up to the bottom of your friends list until you find the blocked users list. Find the username of the person you want to block.
- Tap once on the username. You will see a gear icon appear to the right of the username.
- Tap the gear icon. A popup menu will appear with the option to unblock the friend.
- Tap the Unlock button. The username will move to the previous section on your friends list.
- The user has been blocked. He can now send you Snaps or view your posts.
Step 3. Remove someone from Snapchat
If you want to completely remove someone from your friends list, you can delete them instead of blocking them:
- Go to your friends list. Swipe until you find the username of the person you want to delete.
- Tap once on the username. You will see a gear icon appear to the right of the username.
- Tap the gear icon. A popup menu will appear with the option to delete the friend.
- Tap the Delete button. The username will disappear completely from your friends list.
- The user has been blocked. He will no longer be able to send you Snaps or view your posts.
- Re-add friends if you change your mind. If you want to befriend someone you deleted again, you'll need to find their username and re-add them. He must accept your request before becoming a Snapchat friend.
