Tumblr does not allow users to block others from viewing or following their primary blog, as all primary blogs are publicly accessible. However, you can choose to "ignore" someone, which means that they can't message you, and you won't be able to see each other's posts in your feed. For more privacy, consider creating a secondary blog that is password protected.

Part 1 of 2: Ignoring Someone
Step 1. Log into your Tumblr account
Step 2. Click the "Settings" icon at the top of your screen
This will take you to a new page with all your blog settings.
Step 3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen
Select the "Ignored Users" button.
Step 4. Enter the URL of the user you want to ignore
Click the "Ignore" button to save changes.
Part 2 of 2: Creating a Password Protected Blog
Step 1. Visit your dashboard page
On the top right side of the page, you will see a list of all your blogs.
Step 2. Click the inverted arrow next to your primary blog name
Select the "Create a New Blog" option at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 3. Enter the title and URL of your new blog
Step 4. Click on the box that says "Password protect this blog
"Enter the password you want, then click "Create blog" at the bottom of the screen.
Tips
- Tumblr will not notify users that you have ignored them.
- While your primary blog is always publicly accessible, you can choose to make certain posts private. To do this, create a post and select "Private" from the "Publish Now" menu on the right side of your screen.
- Only users who have your password can see your personal profile.
