Many people like to play with gender and experiment with their appearance. We do it for fun, to express ourselves, and transgender men use it as a way to go from “girl” to male. Fortunately, there are some brilliant tactics for tricking women's bodies into looking like men.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Changing Clothes
Step 1. Find a plain or patterned shirt that you like
Women usually like to combine various tops, while men tend to choose T-shirts. This outfit is simple, easy to clean, and unobtrusive. Therefore, T-shirts are a safe choice for looking like a man. You can also have fun and look for t-shirt motifs that interest you.
- Many men wear T-shirts with band logos, or images from their favorite television series or movies.
- If you want to show off an athletic look, try buying a plain white, gray, or black t-shirt. In addition, sportswear is also suitable for achieving an athletic look.
Step 2. Buy some unobtrusive pants
Most men wear blue jeans, dark blue slack pants, and khakis. Head to the convenience store or thrift store to save some money, and buy a few pairs. This way, you have a solid foundation on which to create a variety of masculine or boyish looks.
- Make sure you buy pants that fit and are comfortable.
- Nowadays, more and more men are wearing skinny jeans and maybe these jeans are perfect for your manly look. However, don't forget that these pants show the shape of your legs (leg muscles) and can reveal your gender. These pants are great for muscular or gendered women who want to show a non-dichotomous identity.
Step 3. Wear comfortable sneakers
Usually women wear flat shoes (flat), heels, and sandals. Men usually prefer to wear sneakers (various heights), boats, sandals (moccassin), and loafers (casual). Do you want a more sporty look, or do you tend to be professional? The answer to this question determines the right type of shoe.
- You can find shoes in skateboard shops, supermarkets, and distributions.
- When wearing formal clothes, make sure you combine it with smart dress shoes. It's best to polish your shoes first to make them sparkle.
Step 4. Put on a baseball cap
Baseball caps are a “million men” accessory because they provide an athletic, relaxed look that can complement a variety of men's outfits..
- Do you have a favorite sports team? Or the city you love? This can help you find cool new accessories.
- The way you wear your hat (front-facing, back-facing, tilted, raised) can reveal different personalities, and allow you to express your masculinity.
- Watch out for rabid fans who support a rival team or the same as you.
Step 5. Put on the backpack
Although backpacks are often worn by both men and women, women also carry purses more often. You can wear a sling bag or backpack for a simple manly look.
Step 6. Put on the suit and tie
For formal, business, and even some parties, you can wear a suit and tie. Try wearing a simple blazer and overcoat, or a custom tuxedo for an effortlessly manly look.
- Usually, changing the shape of a woman's body into a man's is done by minimizing the pelvis and increasing the width of the shoulders. Try choosing a coat that has shoulder pads to accentuate your masculine appearance.
- Bright colors like green, pink, and teal are very rarely worn by men. So that you look like a man, you should choose a dark blue color. Usually the trousers have khaki and dark blue colors. You can also combine it with a tie. It's a good idea to specify how prominent you want the display to be. For example, Neil deGrasse Tyson often wears an eccentric tie and tries to make it stand out. On the other hand, business people usually wear paisley ties, stripes, or plain.
Step 7. Bring the suitcase
If you're a little older, or just want to look more mature, a suitcase is a symbol of a businessman. Generally, leather luggage is the main choice of professionals. However, shoulder sling suitcases and bicycle bags are growing in popularity among young professionals.
Method 2 of 3: Changing Physical Appearance
Step 1. Cut your hair
Although some men like it, long hair is considered a feminine style (especially in Indonesian culture). Common men's hairstyles include crew cut, comb over, fade, faux hawk, shape-up, and wave.
- Take a look at the photo gallery at the hair salon and choose the style you like.
- You can also seek inspiration from celebrity hairstyles to determine the hairstyle that feels right and comfortable for you.
Step 2. Put on a wig (wig and wig cap)
You don't need to shave or even cut your hair, especially if the wig can be worn just like that. If you have long hair, your hair will need to be braided and pinned. After that, put on the wig cap and secure it in the hair using tongs. When you're done, you can wear the wig in the style you like.
Step 3. Wrap your breasts
. Breasts will immediately indicate that you are a woman. For a change of appearance, especially for women with curvy bodies, a breast binder will help create a more even and masculine chest.
- There are binders made especially for transgender people.
- Do not use Ace Bandage or duct tape as they can cause blisters, shortness of breath and create fluid deposits in the lungs, and other injuries.
- Do not wear binder for 24 hours. The binder can be used for a maximum of 8-12 hours.
- Don't wear a binder that's too small for you.
Step 4. Buy appropriate underwear
If wearing a binder is too difficult, or your breasts can be supported and flattened easily, it's a good idea to wear a sports bra for a manly look.
Step 5. Don't wear makeup
While makeup can be used to achieve a manlike look, the bottom line is that a man (or someone who looks like a man) wearing makeup will attract attention.
If you want to use makeup, try using a little brown or dark eyeliner to fill in the eyebrows
Step 6. Consider hormone treatment therapy options
This is a very big step in the lives of transgender people who are seriously looking for physical transformation. We recommend that you always use the services and follow the guidelines of primary doctors and primary psychologists. Be sure to study the health protocols for transgender people before taking this option seriously.
Method 3 of 3: Act Like a Man
Step 1. Change your voice
Changing your tone of voice and pronunciation will go a long way in showing your manliness. While a low pitch of voice is a hallmark of masculinity, research shows that these two things play a bigger role: the pronunciation of the letter “s”, and the presence of a “vocal fry”. If you have a high voice, don't force yourself to speak in a baritone tone. Instead, try a lower, monotone version of your natural voice.
- The presence of lisp (egg) or smoothness in the letter "s" is a sign of female speech patterns.
- Vocal fry refers to a hoarse, deep, elongated vowel at the end of a sentence. This is also a sign of female speech patterns and is best avoided so that you sound like a man.
Step 2. Stay away from feminine body language and habits
For example, crossing your legs, blinking your eyelids, and playing with your hair.
- If your man's look includes long hair, don't flick your hair behind your shoulders, or touch your neck too long.
- When sitting, lean back and slightly spread your legs apart.
- Don't flex your wrist too much, revealing it too often. For example, when women smoke, they usually hold their hands with their wrists open and clearly visible. Men usually hold cigarettes by closing their wrists or holding their arms by their sides.
- You can also put one hand in your pocket because this pose is usually done more often by men.
Step 3. Use a greeting that men usually use
Even though men hug often, it's a good idea to say hello with a variety of handshakes or high fives.
- When shaking someone's hand, hold it firmly (but don't hurt it), and maintain eye contact to show confidence and friendliness.
- When you're about to give yourself a high five, aim for your elbow so you don't miss it and create an awkward atmosphere.
Step 4. Speak to convey information
Research shows that women often speak to build relationships and community, while men speak to channel information and determine status.
If this is difficult for you, try taking an assertiveness class as this trait is respected among men
Step 5. Spend more time with male friends
In the process of showing yourself as a man, you may stumble over the societally conditioned notion of “how to be a man.” However, there really isn't one absolute way to be a man. A great way to find out how to comfortably present yourself as a man, is to hang out with male or male friends and pay attention to their personalities and behavior.
If you have a close male friend you can talk to about this issue, talk about your attempts to present yourself as a man and work out a solution together
summary
If you want to look like a boy, wear a T-shirt with simple pants like jeans or khakis. Put on sneakers or loafers and complete it with a baseball cap from your favorite sports team or city. If you can, keep your hair short and don't use makeup or nail polish. Try flattening your chest with a binder, and don't bandage your chest with tape or duct tape.
