Yahoo! is a popular site for various purposes, such as email, news, question forums, articles, and more. Like other search engines, Yahoo! will save search entries so you can easily access your recent search history again. However, you may need to delete some of this information from time to time. You can clear your search history through the Yahoo! site, both desktop and mobile versions.
Step
Method 1 of 2: On Desktop Site
Step 1. Visit
search.yahoo.com/history.
You can also perform a Yahoo! search, hover over the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen, and select " Search History ".
Step 2. Sign in to your Yahoo
. This step is not mandatory. If you're not signed in to your account, you'll see all the search entries that were used when the account wasn't accessed. To view search entries saved in your account, click the " Sign In " button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Delete one entry by clicking on the trash can icon
Each search entry that is used or typed has the button on its right side.
Step 4. Clear all search history by clicking on “Clear History” button
You will be asked to confirm deletion of the entire search history.
Step 5. Prevent future entry tracking by clicking the “Turn History Off” button
Yahoo! will no longer save your search history.
Step 6. Sign in to another account with history that needs to be cleared
Yahoo! save search history separately for each account. In addition, the service also saves a history of the current browsing session if you are not logged in to your account. Make sure you check all of them if you want to completely remove traces of internet searches.
Method 2 of 2: On Mobile Sites
Step 1. Log in to
yahoo.com using a Yahoo! with a history that needs to be cleared.
Actually, this step is not mandatory. If you're not signed in to your account, you'll still be able to see all the search entries you used when your account was inactive.
To view search entries saved in your Yahoo! account, touch the menu button (☰) in the upper right corner of the screen and sign in to your account
Step 2. Do a search on
yahoo.com.
You must be on the search results page in order to access the search history.
Step 3. Scroll to the bottom of the search results page and tap "Settings"
This option is below the search bar.
Step 4. Touch the “Manage history” link
This link is in the "Keep search history" section.
Step 5. Delete one entry by touching the trash icon
Each entry used has the button on its right side.
Step 6. Clear all search history by touching “Clear History” button
