This wikiHow teaches you how to search a specific site using Google. You can use this feature to display search results on the desired site. If you use Google Chrome, you can directly search on a number of sites that have a built-in search service.

Method 1 of 2: Using Google
Step 1. Visit Google
Run your browser and visit
Step 2. Click the search field
You'll find it in the middle of the page.
Step 3. Perform a search on a specific site
Type site: in the search field.
Step 4. Enter the address of the desired site without being given "www"
Place the site address directly after the site: tag without spaces.
For example, to do a search on Facebook, enter site:facebook.com
Step 5. Press SPACEBAR
By doing so, you'll place a space between your site's address and what you're trying to search for.
Step 6. Enter the search keywords
Enter whatever you want to find on the site.
For example: if you wanted to buy "durian seeds" on Facebook, the search phrase on Google would be site:facebook.com durian seeds
Step 7. Press Enter key
The search process will be executed. And when the results appear, Google will only show the items you are looking for on the specified site.
Method 2 of 2: Using Chrome
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
Double-click the Google Chrome icon, which is a circle with green, red, yellow, and blue colors.
Step 2. Click the address field
This text box is at the top of the browser window.
If there is still text in the address field, delete it before you continue
Step 3. Enter the desired site address
This is the address of the site you want to search. Be sure to include "www" here.
For example, if you want to do a search on the Facebook site, type in www.facebook.com
Step 4. Look at the "Press Tab to search" message
To the right of the address field, there is a message asking you to press the Tab key to perform a search on the site you specified.
If you don't see this message, you won't be able to search the site through the address bar in Google Chrome. You can still use Google to search within a particular site
Step 5. Press the Tab key
If a message appears saying "Press Tab to search", press the Tab key to open a search field that can be used to search for something on the specified site.
Step 6. Type in the keywords you want to search for
This can be anything you want to find on the site.
Step 7. Press Enter key
Doing so will display search results on the site you specified. At this point, you can review the search results as needed.
