While early Apple Magic mice used replaceable batteries, Apple Magic 2 mice are equipped with an internal, non-replaceable, but rechargeable battery. This wikiHow teaches you how to charge a Magic Mouse 2 mouse.
Step

Step 1. Flip the Magic Mouse 2
Since the battery is not replaceable, you can charge it with a lightening cable and a power source.
For fast charging, make sure you have turned on the mouse

Step 2. Find the lightening port
There is a rectangular hole at the bottom of the mouse below the icon and text.
When you buy a Magic Mouse, you also get a lightening cable to charge it. If your mouse doesn't have a lightening cable, you can use any lightening cable

Step 3. Plug the lightening cable into the adapter and power source
Plug the other end of the USB cable into the wall adapter. This adapter is a white cube that has two plugs on one side that can fit snugly into a wall socket.
If you want to charge your mouse using a computer, plug the other end of the USB cable into one of the USB ports on your computer. However, the mouse will not work while you are charging it

Step 4. Plug the lightening cable into the Magic Mouse 2 mouse
The lightening cable can definitely be plugged in snugly in any position.
