The Ultima Weapon is the strongest Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 1. This weapon can only be obtained after you have synthesized all items in the Moogle shop. Read this article to find out how to get it.

Part 1 of 2: Gathering All the Necessary Materials
Step 1. Make a list of all the items you need
If you wrote down all the ingredients to make an Ultima Weapon, you wouldn't have to go back and forth in vain. Here are the items you will need:
- Power Gems, 5 pieces
- Lucid Gems, 5 pieces
- Thunder Gems, 5 pieces
- Mystery Goo, 3 pieces
- Gale, 3 pieces
Step 2. Collect 5 Power Gems
Power Gems can be obtained from almost all Heartless in Neverland so they are very easy to get. This is what you should do.
- Go to Neverland (Peter Pan's world).
- Head into the cabin and exit through the only door, which leads you to the deck.
- Defeat all Heartless on the deck (Pirate, Air Pirate, and Battleship)
- Once you have 5 Power Gems, head back to the cabin and exit Neverland.
Step 3. Collect 5 Lucid Gems
Lucid Gems are a bit hard to get and require patience. Here's how to get it:
- Head to Halloween Town (Jack Skellington's world) and land at the Guillotine Gate.
- Exit through the only door in the area, which will lead you to Guillotine Square.
- Head northwest until you see a small alley with stairs. Enter the gate at the top of the stairs, which will lead you to the graveyard.
- Arriving at the cemetery, a number of enemies will appear. Aim for the Wight Knights (Heartless like mummies) and Gargoyles (Heartless humans like birds that can fly). You can return to the Guillotine Gate, then re-enter the graveyard to bring out the Heartless again.
- Once you have 5 Lucid Gems, head back to the Guillotine Gate and exit Halloween Town.
Step 4. Collect 5 Thunder Gems
Collecting the Thunder Gem is also quite difficult because it can only be obtained from a few Heartless. Here's how:
- Go to Atlantica (the world of the Little Mermaid) and land on Triton's throne.
- Head to the only exit south, which will take you to Triton's castle.
- Head north, and you'll see some Screwdivers (Heartless carrying a three-pronged spear) and Aquatanks (Heartless resembling an Angler fish). Defeat them to get the Thunder Gem.
- Head to Undersea Gorge, which is just north of where you came from. More Screwdivers and Aquatanks will appear in this area. Defeat them to get more Thunder Gems.
- Once you have 5 Thunder Gems, return to Triton's throne and exit Atlantica.
Step 5. Collect 3 Mystery Goo
To get Mystery Goo, you must defeat White Mushroom, Black Fungi, or Rare Truffle. The best choice of the three is White Mushroom because Black Fungi rarely drop Mystery Goo, and you need more skill and patience to beat Rare Truffle.
- Go to Wonderland and land in the Queen's castle.
- Head north to the center of the room, then head east. You will be in the Lotus Forest.
- White Mushrooms will appear here about 3-4 times. To beat them, you have to play their game and guess what magic to cast. If the White Mushroom shivers, use fire magic. When the White Mushroom is fanning itself, use ice magic. If a white light appears above the White Mushroom, use lightning magic. If the White Mushroom is underground, use healing magic. If the White Mushroom stops moving, use Stop magic. If the White Mushroom is floating in the air, use gravity magic. When the White Mushroom spins, use wind magic.
- After you cast the correct magic 3 times in a row, White Mushroom will give you a lot of goodies, including Mystery Goo.
- Collect 3 Mystery Goos, then return to the Queen's castle and exit Wonderland.
Step 6. Collect 3 pieces of Gale
Gale can only be obtained from the very powerful Heartless, so be prepared.
- Go to End of the Word (last world open) and head to Final Rest. This is the room before the final boss battle.
- Return to the previous room, instead of heading for the door to the last room.
- This room has 2 types of Heartless: Invisible (which is black) and Angel Star (which has wings). Defeat them and pick up the dropped Gale.
- Return to Final Rest and re-enter the room so all the Heartless you defeated reappear. Defeat them again until all the required Gale is collected.
- After you collect 3 Gale pieces, return to Final Rest and exit End of the World.
Part 2 of 2: Making the Ultima Weapon
Step 1. Head to Traverse Town (where Leon and the Final Fantasy crew first met) and land at the accessories shop
Step 2. Climb the stairs inside the shop and enter the synthesis shop, also known as the Moogle shop
Step 3. Talk to Moogle in front of the shop, and select “Ultima Weapon” which should be the last item on the list
Step 4. Confirm the creation of the Ultima Weapon, and Moogle will create your Keyblade
This synthesis has a 100% success rate, so enjoy your new Ultima Weapon.
Tips
- So that the possibility of the enemy dropping items increases, don't forget to install the Lucky Strike ability on Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
- When you cast the correct magic on the White Mushroom 3 times in a row, you will be rewarded with a rare art item. When you collect them all (7 pieces), you can take them to Merlin in Traverse Town, who will give Goofy a Shield Dream.
- When you're trying to collect Gale, bring some healing medicine with you so you don't accidentally lose. Avoid the Invisible and Angel Star attacks by rolling over and waiting for an opportunity to attack.
