Have you ever watched Flash animations on the Internet or played a Flash-based computer game that you would like to watch or play again easily without an Internet connection? There are now several ways of sending movies via online streaming, with different procedures for downloading and watching them again later. Follow the instructions below to download different types of video streaming.

Method 1 of 5: Using a Page Conversion Program
Step 1. Locate the video downloader page
One of the most popular options is KeepVid, which works for YouTube, Vimeo, and a number of other streaming sites.
Downloading videos from streaming sites is likely to violate the terms of the site's Terms of Service. It is illegal to share copyrighted material without permission
Step 2. Type the URL of the video
Copy the entire URL (web address) of the video you want to save. Paste the address into the box on KeepVid. Once you've entered the URL, click the Download button next to the box.
Don't click the big green Download button below the text box. This is an ad, and will open a lot of pop-ups
Step 3. Select the file format
Once the video is loaded into KeepVid, you'll be given a few links to choose from to download the video in various formats. MP4 is the format most supported by many devices and computers, while FLV is the least supported.
You will also be given several quality options. Higher video quality (1080p, 720p) will take up more hard disk space than lower quality (480p, 360p), so decide which is more important to you
Step 4. Download the video
Once you've decided what the format and quality is, right-click on the link and select Save As… You can rename the file as well as set where it will be saved on your computer.
Method 2 of 5: Using Browser Extensions
Step 1. Install a browser extension
Firefox is the most popular browser when it comes to adding extensions, and they can be downloaded for free from the Mozilla website. One of the most widely downloaded free extensions is DownloadHelper.
DownloadHelper will automatically detect what media files are on your browser page and give you the option to download them
Step 2. Navigate to the video you want to download
Once the video has started, the DownloadHelper icon will start to animate in the upper right corner of your Firefox window and a small arrow will appear next to it. Click the arrow to open various download options.
Step 3. Choose a file format
When you click on the arrow, you will be given several format options to download. MP4 is the format most supported by many devices and computers, while FLV is the least supported.

Step 4. Wait for the download to complete
Once you have selected the format and quality, the download will begin. You can check the progress in the Downloads window in Firefox. This window can be accessed by clicking the Firefox menu and clicking Downloads.
Method 3 of 5: Downloading SWF Files
Step 1. Open the video site in Firefox
Navigate to the Flash video you want to watch. Firefox is the easiest browser to use to download Flash files directly from a page.
This method cannot be used on YouTube, Vimeo and other streaming sites. This method is to download Flash videos on sites like Newgrounds
Step 2. Load the video
Once the video loads in Firefox, right-click on the page. Select “View Page Info” from the right-click menu. This will open a sidebar containing detailed information about the site you are currently viewing. At the very top of the sidebar, you'll see a set of icons that open up different aspects of the site.
If you right click on the movie, you won't find the View Page Info option. You should click anywhere on the page as long as it's outside of the video or link
Step 3. Click on the Movie icon
This will show a list of all the multimedia objects contained on the site, such as button and banner images. It will also contain the. SWF file of the movie. Click the Type column heading in the list to sort by the object type.
Step 4. Find the Flash file
The movie will be in. SWF format, and will be listed as an Object in the Type field. The file name is often similar to the video title on the page. Select the file from the list and click Save As… Name the file whatever you want, then click Save.
Step 5. Play the movie
Once you've finished downloading the movie, you can open it in any browser that has Flash installed. When you try to open the file for the first time, Windows may tell you that you need to select a program. If your browser is not listed as a recommended program, search for it on your computer. Most browser programs are stored in the Program Files folder on your computer's hard disk, in a folder named after the company name (Google, Mozilla, etc.).
Method 4 of 5: Copying SWF Files from Browser Cache
Step 1. Open Internet Explorer, or use your computer's search tool to find your Temporary Internet Files folder if you use a different browser
To view Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer browser, open the Tools menu and select Internet Options. On the General tab, select Settings then View Files.
Step 2. Right click and sort by address
Look for the address of the page you found containing the file. The page may have a start page, such as farm.addictinggames.com.
Find the file with the SWF extension. This is an extension for Flash files. These Flash files can be movies or games or even commercials. Find a file with a name that matches the video you want to download. Right-click on the file and select Copy. Paste the file in an easy-to-open folder.>
Step 1. You may not be able to run the file directly
When this happens, open an Internet browser and the folder so that they are both displayed on the screen at the same time. Click on the file, and drag it to the inside of the browser. The file should then be executable.
Method 5 of 5: Downloading RTMP Streams
Step 1. Install the media download program
RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) is an online video streaming method that is much more difficult to download than standard YouTube videos. If you find a video online that KeepVid or DownloadHelper can't access, it's most likely an RTMP stream. You will need special software to download this type of video.
Orbit Downloader and Replay Media Catcher are two of the popular programs for capturing RTMP streams. Unfortunately, neither of them are free, but both offer trial versions. Orbit Downloader will only download the first 50% of the movie on its trial version, and Replay Media Catcher downloads very slowly on its trial version
Step 2. Run the program
These programs must be run before you navigate to the video you want to download. Keep the program window open, and then open a browser. Navigate to the video you want to stream, and start running the video. The video file should appear in the download program, and start the download automatically.
