Step 1. Open Messenger
The icon is a blue conversation bubble with a white flash in the center in the app drawer.
Use this method whenever you want to save an image that is in Messenger to your Android device. If you want to automatically save all the pictures you have in Messenger, take a look at the Automatically Save Photos section
Step 2. Select the desired conversation
Step 3. Touch the photo you want to save
The photo will open in full screen.
Step 4. Touch
It's in the top-right corner.
Step 5. Touch Save
Now the photo has been saved in the gallery.
Method 2 of 2: Automatically Save Photos
Step 1. Launch Messenger
The icon is a blue conversation bubble with a white flash in the center in the app drawer or home screen.
Use this method if you want to automatically save all photos in Messenger to your Android gallery
Step 2. Touch the Profile icon
This icon is a gray person's head in the top right corner.
Step 3. Touch Photos & Media
Step 4. Slide the "Save Photos" button to On
Now, all incoming photos will be saved to the device.
