Using a pressure cooker can speed up the process of boiling potatoes. Below are several ways to cook potatoes and how long they take to cook. Read the instructions for using a pressure cooker first for proper and safe cooking procedures. The instructions below are for pressure cookers measuring 6 to 8 liters.

Step 1. Peel or brush the potatoes thoroughly
Step 2. Remove the potato eyes (where the shoots will grow) and any ugly spots
Step 3. Put the potatoes in a pressure cooker, cook on high heat until the specified time
Method 1 of 4: Whole Potato
Step 1. Install a strainer for boiling
Follow the instructions in the pressure manual for using the filter.
Step 2. Put the potatoes in the pressure cooker
Step 3. Add the amount of water as stated in the pressure manual
For this case, I added 4 cups of water to the pressure cooker.
Step 4. Cook medium-sized whole potatoes for 15 minutes at 10 psi (pounds per square inch)
Step 5. Once done, immediately pour the pressure under cold water to lower the pressure
Step 6. Drain the potatoes and serve
Method 2 of 4: Split Potato
Step 1. Insert the filter
Follow the instructions in the pressure manual for using the filter.
Step 2. Put the potatoes in the pressure cooker
Step 3. Add 4 cups of water to the pressure cooker
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and a little sugar in the water to ensure the potatoes boil quickly and evenly.
Step 4. Cook the sliced potatoes for 8 minutes at 15 psi
Step 5. When finished, immediately pour the pressure under cold water to lower the pressure
Step 6. Drain the potatoes and serve
Method 3 of 4: Potato Slice
Step 1. Put the potatoes in the pressure cooker
Step 2. Add 2 1/2 cups of water to the pot
Step 3. Cook the potatoes for 2 1/2 minutes at 15 psi
Step 4. Once done, immediately pour the pressure under cold water to lower the pressure
Step 5. Drain the potatoes and serve
Method 4 of 4: Menu of Boiled Potato
Step 1. Make mashed potatoes from whole or sliced boiled potatoes
Step 2. Serve the potatoes whole or sliced with fresh dill and melted butter
Step 3. Refrigerate whole or split potatoes
Cut the cooled potatoes into quarters and make a potato salad.
Step 4. Serve the sliced potatoes with your favorite cheese dip
Step 5. Cut the cooled whole or sliced potatoes and make hash browns (grated or diced potatoes, seasoned, then fried in a little oil)
Step 6. Make beef hash (a combination of ground beef, potatoes, and onions, then fried) with the cooled and chopped potatoes

Adjust the cooking time according to the number of potatoes, the size of the pot, and the size of the heat. Read the pressure manual

- Follow the instructions in the pressure cooker's manual for preparing the pot for cooking and how to release the pressure.
- Be careful when opening the pressure cooker. Pressure cooker temperature is very high when used for cooking.
